Terrible band, wonderful singing. Wonderful stage presence and genuine understanding of the lyrics as she took the hand of the elderly lady in the front row. She was 22...and a beautiful young girl. She hasn't taken care of herself over the years like a lot of starlets do, so when she finally made it, she didn't look as good as she used to. But that voice...! makes me cry every time.

So she is an antique lounge singer who is using her looks as a sympathy ploy. She is just hungry for fame. She's a wedding singer. Modest talent, but doesn't know how to "sell" the song. I notice the Scottish accent - kind of nice, actually! It was the "surprise element" that got her so much attention: a more attractive, younger woman with exactly the same voice would've got a "very nice, dear, you can go home now".

I really worry about her mental health. In essence, she's a child and has flown into numerous tantrums. I don't think the police would've come unless she had become violent.

The band is not doing a sterling job of accompanying her. The guitar player is (to my mind) overplaying like crazy, and there are some questionable chords being played behind her. She had to be pretty strong to sing through all that. She sounds OK. I think she sounds much better now - more emotionally evocative. Life's lessons often weave their way into a person's artistic ability, and I think this is true in her case. But she did a good job here singing through the mess.
