Well, you could change the key...but I would not recommend doing that for an audition. A performance, concert, cabaret, fine. But for auditions it's best to stick to stuff that is representitive of something you'd actually able to be cast as. I'd love to hear this sung by a guy at a performance, though! Change the key so the last note is at the top of your range (where it's high, but you can still sustain the note - with QUALITY) and rock it!!

It's actually not really in context with the rest of tick, tick...BOOM! Come To Your Senses is a song Jonathan was working on from a new musical he was working called Superbia. So in tick tick boom he's doing with workshop for Superbia and it's sung by one of the actors there, Karessa.

No, no...what he means is "belt-mixing" not soundboard mixing. And, No. There was no mixing. Although, technically, true belt-mixing really only happens around your passagio. You mean did I actually sing the money notes in my head voice and just modify the vowels to sound like I'm belting. And no. I'm not. Not that it would be BAD if I had. In fact, I encourage all my students to learn the art of vowel modification. It saves a lot of vocal strain.This song tops out at C5.(not really that high)
