vibrato is done by tightening the muscles on the vocal chords and relaxing them. using chest for vibrato sounds amateur. Using chest air and larynx simultaneously produces a pleasant sound. I like to use that best, it spares the larynx.

what is happening to cause the vibrato.. the vocal folds don't seem to look different from when she sings straight tones..vibrato is coming from the diaphragm and lungs? before the vocal folds.. because it looks like the vibrato shaking is coming from behind the vocal folds and the area around the vocal folds. i'm always searching for my most healthy vibrato so that I'm not causing any strain on my vocal folds.

The vibrato is being caused by a rocking motion in the larynx - you can see the thryoid cartilage moving differently when she does her vibrato. This seems to be the most common way to access vibrato in classical singing.

No. Your hyoid bone is under your tongue, then you kind of fall into the epilaryngeal space, pass by the epiglottis (the leaf shaped cartilage you can see at the bottom of the screen) and down into the thryoid cartilage (the adam's apple) - the vocal folds are in the thyroid cartilage.
