  • What kind of projector was that?

  • @kanamekuran23 The projector used was a short throw Toshiba TDP-EW25U (now discontinued)

  • i am making an ftir table , using both kinect and ps3 camera

the ps3 eye toy is detecting everthing well but im still missing how can i use screen i just made up to use it on windows 7 ! ok so i callibrated it but i am still now knwing how to config the multi touch ! pls help

  • @kastaramation Please see if you can get some specific help on the NUI Group forum

  • I made my own a few days ago but i had a custom glass made that is white coated on top later but very smooth and finger friendly so you dont get sticky fingers plus reflection free.

  • if you could please answer my question ............... what type of program do you use so that the screen can read the touch of your fingertips or how do you make the screen read the touch

  • @RO0STER101 Please see the information on the CCV page at ccv dot nuigroup dot com

  • Hi. Thanks for your reply. I'm gonna put this touch panel in to our school festival. But it still does not working. Can you tell me more about sylicone? Why xylophone is needed?

  • @jojojojoeable Yes you should use Xylol or similar material. I don't know exactly why you need to use that material, probably breaks down the silicon into a liquid to make it easier to apply to your touch surface.

  • @victom111 I don't sell the ribbon shorter than the 5 meter reels (500cm). Please see my supplier Environmentallights for cut-to-length orders. You do save a lot of money by buying a full reel though consider that.

  • So how many LEDs are there?

  • @victom111 You need to place an LED about every inch (2.5cm) or less. The more the better and brighter your blobs will be. We sell LED ribbon which is very easy to install by simply wrapping it around your acrylic sheet.

  • @PeauProductions Sorry but how long is the ribbon and is it possible to order a slightly longer one if my projector won't focus to create a smaller image?

  • @victom111 The 8mm Ribbon currently retails for $195, and the brighter 10mm is $331. Each is 5 meters long. You can by a connector to join multiple ribbons together, but you need to make sure you don't overload your power supply. Please see the Peau Productions store for more info.

  • What kind of material do you use for rear projection surface? How about tracing paper with tinkerman's method for it? And do you use PS eye for IR detection? thanks^^

  • @jojojojoeable In this video I used some cheap thin gray plastic. If you want to use tracing paper, you will need to laminate it first. Yes, PS Eye is used for detection.

  • @jojojojoeable There are all types of projection surfaces you can use. The best thin film material is the Rear Projection film from Prolight Films, which we resell on the Peau Productions site. You can use tracing paper with Tinkerman's method, but you'll want to laminate it first. Yes, the cameras we use are the PS Eye.

  • can i use this in a evrey day thin not just fore thoes apps like can i click on stuf just like i di with a mouce

  • @alec4672 Yes, you need a TUIO mouse driver. Search around on the nuigroup forum for them.

  • @alec4672 Yes there are mouse drivers you can use. Just google search for TUIO mouse.

  • Damn, im stuck with building a LED frame :(

    Iv coem so are.

I have the L panels cut to the right size, its just placing it on the table and drilling holes :(

  • what type of silicone do you use? is saw some people mixing the silicone with some liquid. do you know what that is? and is that nessesary?

  • @nanogugel I followed the same instruction that Tinkerman talks about in his video. Please see the information on the FTIR Compliant Layer on the Peau Productions main website

  • What is the best thickness of the Plexiglas?

    thank

  • @folfix You should get thick enough acrylic to support the pressure caused by touching down on the touch plane. You also want to make sure you get thick enough acrylic that the light from the LEDs will enter into it and not lose some. Since most LEDs are 5-8mm wide, I'd stick with 8mm or thicker acrylic.

  • Does PLEXIGLAS ® Standard sheets will be appropriate?

  • @folfix Yes you can use Plexiglas sheets for your acrylic

  • Where can I buy Acrylic sheets? Reasonable prices (I look at your store and see none). Btw you IR-LED's are extremely over priced. I can get 500 IR-LED's for the pprice of you 50. Your ribbon is boarderline. I would lower price if youw anna see sales go up :).

  • @RingOfStorms You can buy acrylic from your local acrylic dealer or see if Evonik ships to your address.

The LEDs I sell are high quality and are specific to the design of building these optical multitouch setups. There are of course always cheaper products, but they will burn out and not last as long, and I can't have my customers complaining about that once they install a setup for clients.
