@ranhony your criticism is unnecessary, congratulations, I personally know these singers worked very hard to make this piece wonderful, and here you come along with nothing nice to say, I'm sure you feel very educated in your answer, but next time I'd try building people up.
i was in this chorus...the story...the passion, I was crying by the end of the song. best musical experience in my entire life. A weekend I'll never forget <3
...and to add to my prior post...I think I speak for every single person in this Allstate choir when I say that this song by far, exemplified who we were as singers/performers. Thank you Lorraine Lynch for making my first Allstate experience wonderful. It was truly emotional and captured the essence of choral groups.
When Lynch told us that story about her mother and how she related her passing to this song, I BAWLED my eyes out during the rehearsal right before we performed it. This song had such a haunting and beautiful sound to it and everytime we sang the refrain, "Mala notte la notte resurge" after the middle, ominous sound (directing towards Dante's Inferno), I got choked up. Lynch really plunged our minds into the song's depth and I loved my first Allstate experience because of her.
my good friend was in this last year, he sits two seats over from me in choir now. this is the first time i heard it. i could not believe my ears. his mom told me that she cried when she heard this, well so did i. i wont ever forget this song. thank you, and excellent job, breath taking.
me too! i still get emotional when i listen to it...remember the dress rehearsal when she told us what the song meant to her? god she was crazy but she was good.
This was my second favorite piece I've ever sung. I'm getting a part of it a tattoo next month!

the singers should have been trained to pronounce the "t" without the twang. This could have been better with that detail addressed.
