  • Your coach is part right but also wrong... im a personal trainer through tafe and my teacher done his ACL playing football in his young days and thats the only exercise that targets the deep staiblizer muscles in the knee and helps strengthen it, but yes in dysfunctional to well basically everyone cause of the danger factor and 90% of people have good knee's and the ones with bad knee's are to old to get on fit balls. personally i love fit balls and this... is lame, check my vid out

  • im currently studying at the australian instute of fitness as a personal trainer and i personally love the fitball squat however my coaches claim it is a dysfunctional exercise and is nothing more than a party trick - stating that you can get equal stability benefits from a BOSU ball. I want to continue fitball squatting regardless of my coaches opinions, is there any evidence that fitball squats are a functional exercise - what are the benefits?

  • Hey, I don't know how you can do that with your sneakers on. Don't they interfere with your foot grip? I do my stuff bare foot. You should give it a try. :)

  • A ski racer at our local Colorado gym hops up onto the fit ball from the floor holding a 50-pound bar bell weight, and then does one-legged squats holding the weight out in front of him. He usually does 25 reps on each leg.

  • Excellent, now put a barbell on the front of your shoulders equivalent to your bodyweight and do the same thing.

  • WOW that guy is GOOD!
