  • Can you get Copic markers at Micheals?

  • Another tip on buying them: for some dealers, it's cheaper to buy the same amount of markers in a certain set individually vs in a pre-made set, or vice versa. Always do a rough calculation before choosing to buy individually or in a set. Even if it's a dollar or two cheaper, it's still saving money.

  • what markers r those?

  • @LastRqss it's because many people see photoshop as a new generation of creativity and art while everyone else like me see it as a lame excuse for talent. Think about it, in photoshop you can make a selected area gradient with one click. And you can select an area so you don't go out of the lines. How is that talent? It's pretty much cheating

  • @littlesecretprincess the difference is: the normal square copic markers have more of a broad tip rather than the brush, and both the copic sketch and copic caio have a brush tip. The other is that the normal one can be refilled like 15 times while the sketch can be refilled 12 times and the caio can be refilled around 5 times.

  • what is the difference between copic ciao and copic sketch?

  • 0:48 Oh man! :D

  • :C My dad won't get it for me because its too expensive.

  • Ciao, their round and fall off my desk!:<

  • @Bloom25145 LOL!! So true!! I "upgraded" to Sketch thankfully.

  • @thescrapmaster lol i'm waiting till all my Ciao to run out of int and then i can get some sketch in that color,

  • is thar any stores that sell these markers? :v

  • @ninjastarmaiden Michael's/Hobby Lobby/maybe Jo-Ann's are the most popular ones as I recall

  • @Hamtaro1224 yup! that hilarious, i got my markers from those three stores and they were those stores exactly!

  • @artawesome30 Dang, that was quick! And not a surprise since they're the most dominant xD

  • @Hamtaro1224 I ordered some from Jo-Ann's Yesterday :)

  • not trying to sound snobby but what is the point of using copics when you have things like cs5 and intuos4 tablets? you can do far more things with a basic tablet and photohsop then copic markers ever could right? :/ do people like copics because they replicate the "manga" feel best? or is it something else?

  • @LastRqss I don't think the point of Copic coloring (or paper crafting in general) is to get it to look perfect. I think the point is having fun, feeling artistic, and I think it is a tactile thing people are wanting to create it themselves with their own two hands. In a similar respect, painters could use CS5 and create "better looking" pictures than just with paint, but would you tell a painter to just use a comp. rather than his/her painting tools & his talent with a paintbrush?

  • @LastRqss

I use a tablet but by hand feels better for me but I don't draw "magna" because it just looks horrible and it's a not creative drawing style very much like marvel. But I do use Copics and scan my work than brush it up in the tablet because no matter how hard the sketchbook program tries, it will never be as fulfilling as brushing color ink to paper. Sketchbooks only mimic texture, it doesn't create it. If you get what I mean.

  • hey guys can someone tell me where to buy a copic maker please

  • @bloomjade4056 iCopic.com is where I get all my Copic supplies. I cannot say enough great things about that company.

  • @bloomjade4056

Maybe amazon, I buy them in Mangashops.

  • @bloomjade4056 I got mine from Jo-Ann's and Michaels! You can also purchase them at eBay, or any other website that sells art supplies! Just pick one that works for you!

  • where do you get them and how much are thy online O_O?

  • hey. i've never used a copic marker before but i've seen other people use them. i have a couple of questions about the markers. #1: is it okay to use plain printer paper #2: if you have a sketchbook with thick paper, will it bleed through. #3: how expensice are copic markers.

  • @MsValkyrie13 1.) I wouldn't use printer paper, I don't think you would get very nice blending with printer paper. 2.) It depends on the paper, I have a sketch book and the Copics bleed through, I just always keep an additional scrap paper in between so I don't mess up whatever is underneath when I am coloring. 3.) The prices vary. iCopic.com is very reasonable. The Ciaos (shown in the video) are the cheapest ones so I would definitely start with those if you are just starting.

  • How much cheaper is it to buy them in a set v single?

How much do the ink pads cost? Do you buy them in the local stores too? They look like you could only use mini stamps with them... or do you "pat" the ink pad around on the large stamps?

    Thanks:)

    BOP

  • @BirdOfParadise777 With the mini ink pads you would do a lot of "patting" for larger stamps. The Memento ink pads come in full size too. At icopic.com , the full sized ones are like $6 which is pretty good. Plus there are refills available for the ink pads so you can use them for a looooooong time.

As for the price in sets, I think you save a little or it is about equal to buying the markers, but the advantage with the sets is that you get the plastic cases with the sets.

  • If you are planning of coloring your own artwork I would suggest using the copic multiliners on Borden and Riley Paris Paper for Pens.It comes with 40 sheets in a book. Bristol paper absorbs too much of the copic ink and can bleed and marker paper is too thin.

  • @thenakedartist Thank you for that information:)

    BOP

  • What is the big difference between the Copic sketch and the Copic basic?

  • @3LadyBuccaneer These are Copic Ciaos. The difference is really just the body style. They both come with the same tips. For the longest time, I wanted the Ciaos because they are smaller and fit in my hand more comfortably since I am used to holding round pens and pencils. But the Ciaos only come in like 170 colors vs the Sketches come in ALL the colors.

  • for me I bought mine in store. I liked buying what colors work best in a family of colors. also the copic sketch are best for refilling. If you live in NYC almost any art store will carry these and the cheapest you can get them in store is 5 BUCK!!!! I would never tell anyone to spend over 7$ fore these that's too much.

  • arnt those the only ways to purchase them? 0-0

  • what stores can you buy them from?please tell me.I want to get them.

  • @NothingButLables I purchased all mine at iCopic.com This is actually my video I made for them, LOL.

  • @NothingButLables icopic.com :)

  • It is refillable @hottenrose

  • is this refillable? i want to buy some of it?

can i have it im in philippines...

  • Where did you get your copics?

  • its not said like CA PIC

    its CO PIC

  • @ninpoonam I know that now, thanks :) I was just getting started out when I made this video

  • @icopicgal its ok i was like that at firat to :D

  • where i can buy copics

  • @milliBoom iCopic.com great prices and speedy shipping

  • can a copic sketch blender be used with ciao markers? is there a difference between the ink of the sketch and ciao blenders?

  • @LDMSLove No, the ink is exactly the same as the sketch. So they work the same. Ciaos are just smaller, hold less ink and are round shaped.

  • @LDMSLove No, just the size. However the blender is not really good to use when blending colors, its mainly to get rid of some light colored mistakes.

  • @LDMSLove All the colorless blenders contain the same blending solution. The ink is the same no matter what style of marker you use, as long as the number is the same. You can have any mixture of Copic marker styles and color with them. I actually have a mixture of Ciao and Sketch right now and color with a mixture all the time.

  • How do you color a large background with Copic markers?

  • @MsGanoo you draw it...

  • @MsGanoo You can go in a circular motion trying to get smooth strokes. Some folks use Copic Wide markers to cover larger spaces, but they don't come in all the colors.

  • @MsGanoo Also, you could airbrush a larger area.

  • i peeked at my christmas pressents (he he XD) and i saw a 36 set of copic ciao markers! i'm sooooooooooooooo excited!

  • @IcyHitsu10 lol so did i. I got copic chao set B, 72 markers.

  • I really Liked these Colours and iam Gonna Buy them and ry Them A.S.A.P

    Thnx

  • can anyone tells me why is copic marker better tha the sharpies????? please i really wanna know

  • @chinopolix i'm no expert, but from what i've seen and heard, copic markers are versatile in that double ended, plus can be used for airbrushing if you have the adapter tool for it, when it comes to shading with copics, you can shade quite easily with just one marker. if you have the money, I would suggest getting some. [:

  • how does the copic markers

  • what kind of paper is it⁇

  • @acs123ism I use the Copic Xpress-It paper or Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White. Both of which are great papers for heavy handed colorers like myself. For those who color with a lighter touch, I have heard Cryogen White and Neenah are good choices (but they tend to bleed around the edges for heavy handed colorers).

  • they are so expencive in germany! :/

  • @MsKawaiiCrafts isso! ich will mir die holen...seh den preis...und war trauriig :c

  • @jjessicagrace That's what I thought~ Thanks.

  • @VocaloidYOKO co-pick :D but it depends on where youre from (im british so i say co-pick)

  • @VocaloidYOKO The Copic Certification class said Co-pick, so I switched to saying that now :) I made this video right when I was starting out and didn't know :)

  • @VocaloidYOKO I think its either way, I say cawpik! :)

  • @Rensaiya dude she said copic the correct way unlike some retards who say "c-oh-pic" she pronounced it properly as copics were invented by the Japanese and obviously how the Japanese pronounce their own product is gnna be the right way ^^ dont correct people when ur wrong

  • @epicrecording actually ur very wrong ciaos come in 144 colors, and sketch come in 344 colors and, regular copic about 300 copic wides come in 33 colors the price range is about 3-4 dollars for ciao, 5-7 dollars for sketch, and 7-8 dollars for regular copic wides are about 9 dollars.

  • Great vid!

  • Is That All The Markers? Oh, And How Much Do All Of The Markers Cost Together? And, Thanks For The Vid. n_n

  • @Sporeofthecentury No not at all there are about 350 colors in the sketch and 300 in the ciao(same for original). They cost about $3-$8 for 1 marker(depends on were you buy them, and which kind), if you want them all it will cost you a couple hundred bucks.

  • fak123fak123 I agree that she is mispronouncing Copic and is misusing the names of things but why be so mean about it? Just a courteous correction could have done it! Geesh!
