Perhaps i was a touch harsh, Newsround has an excellent reputation and has provided news for children for generations and has won award after award. on the other hand gmtv has won ??? on a positive note both gmtv and bbc breakfast are aimed at different audiences, it is good to have two different styles of programmes to choose from.
My dad tunes into BBC Breakfast every weekday morning. When I get Breakfast I saw people interviewing, weather with a wether lady present and... Bill Turnball and Sain Williams in the main studio!!

BBC Breakfast reguarly beats GMTV in the ratings. Newround has more news value than GMTV.
