This is the most humane video I have seen of animal slaughter. However you still don't know how those animals were treated prior to slaughter. Btw the 'paddling' limbs of the animals shows that the stun was successful - it's not the animal convulsing in pain.
Farm workers and slaughterers often become desensitised to animal suffering and so the animal you are eating has probably been treated inhumanely at some points during it's life and death. That is why I don't eat meat.

well I do want my children to know the truth as a mother however I feel for them to know people are capable of these types of actions would traumatize them at a young age, so I feel telling children the truth is best left for the parents, but saying that, as a parent I would not feel comfortable supporting this type of treatment toward another form of life,knowing that these people are in business bc I as a consumer have a need to feed my children and myself is sickening.

You can look into going vegan of course! :) There are plenty of websites that guide you on becoming veg, vegan or reducing your consumption of meat. There are so many wonderful vegan alternatives to milk, cheese, eggs, meat ("gardein" is one of the best) and yes even beef jerky, if you want to spice up vegan dishes. We don't have to contribute to this :)

And this is why I hunt for my meat. The animal lives wild & free until the moment of its death. Depending on shot placement, the animal's death ranges from instant (i.e. head shot through the brain) to less than a minute (heart lung shot). In my 34 years of hunting, I have never had an animal last more than a minute after being shot because I have very high standards for taking a shot (I do not take less than optimal shots).

I do not know much about this subject but the one thing that comes over to me is that more than one animal is shown in the killing area at once. It also appears the slaughterman could do with more training arround capturing the animal. Much of the animal's distress must relate to they way it is captured prior to slaughter. Eating animals is part of our livs and there is never a nice way to kill anything. However it is up to us to ensure it is done with respect and dignaty.
Do they ever pet the animals before hurting them severely? They could have a room where the animals are petted nicely maybe...Then after the severe hurting maybe they could pet them again, but maybe just pet around where the blood might be...or they could put a tube in there to take away the blood during the severe hurting. Then they could even pet them longer, or maybe pet them even where some of the red blood may be.
I have just seen some data recently that cancer rates in the UK and the Western World are going up at an alarming rate. It does seem that everwhere you look today, people are going down with cancer. There is talk that this is due to the manipulation if industrial animal feeds and the general medling of factory farmed and process foods.

Most animals are slaughtered this way in the UK , Europe and generally worldwide. Electrocuted then their throat cut. Search ‘Islamic slaughter’ in Google and look for articles explaining the rules for this and I think you will find very interesting. Not only is more blood expelled from the animal as the heart still beats and therefore the meat retains less blood which is healthier for the consumer but also the animal feels much less pain.

I've never been an overly emotional person but the way the last animal left trys to run away is just heartbreaking. And the way the cows were just hoisted up like sacks of waste... I appreciate that humans need to feed themselves but there are many much nicer ways to kill an animal rather than simply lifting the twitching animal up by the leg in front of it's own kind.

2) Nature is cruel and heartless. It mandates that for one self aware organism to live another organism MUST die. Sometimes those other organisms are self aware.

I do not know much about this subject but the one thing that comes over to me is that more than one animal is shown in the killing area at once. It also appears the slaughterman could do with more training arround capturing the animal. Much of the animal's distress must relate to they way it is captured prior to slaughter. Eating animals is part of our livs and there is never a nice way to kill anything. However it is up to us to ensure it is done with respect and dignaty.

They could have a room where the animals are petted nicely maybe...Then after the severe hurting maybe they could pet them again, but maybe just pet around where the blood might be...or they could put a tube in there to take away the blood during the severe hurting. Most animals are slaughtered this way in the UK , Europe and generally worldwide. Electrocuted then their throat cut. Search ‘Islamic slaughter’ in Google and look for articles explaining the rules for this and I think you will find very interesting. Not only is more blood expelled from the animal as the heart still beats and therefore the meat retains less blood which is healthier for the consumer but also the animal feels much less pain.
