That was very good. I just wanted to say that I think a D7 would work better in the transition from the verse to the chorus. Also, where you play your E, I usually just take the D structure and take it up two frets.

The pick and strum pattern you are playing is not even close. Sorry but this song should be finger picked. Nice guitar work otherwise though and your strumming sounds good.
