As a diehard Wings fan, I always liked watching Lindros play. I think you guys are a bit hard on the guy. Dude had a big X on his back every time he played. He did take the Flyers to the finals didn't he? Yah, Foresberg was on the other side of the deal along with some other guys, but colorado was much more stacked with talent than the Flyers.
Lindros was far from perfect..but he wasn't the only one to blame for all the crap that went on during his time in Philly. As far as I'm concerned he was one of the best Flyers ever. People sometimes forget all the positives he brought to the organization..multiple division and conference titles, hard-hitting hockey, a berth in the finals. It was an exciting time to be a Flyers fan when he was in his prime.

Lindros was one of the best players in the game without a doubt. Unfortunately he never had a complete team around him and never had a real good quality goalie. I don't care how great one player is. They always need productivity from the rest of the team too. His battle with concussions hurt him too. I attend many flyers games each year and I think most fans have put this behind them. I've seen some Flyers Lindros Jerseys at Wachovia Center (which would've been a crime 5-10 years ago) and many admit (myself included) that he was our favorite player. I know a lot of things will always linger over him (Lindros vs Clarke; Lindros's Parents vs Clarke, the concussions, etc) - but for those first 7-8 years in Philly, he was just unstoppable! When is ERIC LINDROS night with teh Flyers?!?!

i'm a big flyers fan nd i watch almost every game n have since the early 90's.The first year i really started getting into it was lindros' rookie year, i was around 8 years old.He made me want to watch every single game bc he would make the game so exciting to watch and i became addicted to hockey instantly..Eric was the most exciting player i ever watched and was my idol growing up.I remember one game he shot the puck in with one hand and me and my friend the next day tried to immatate the goal

As a diehard Wings fan, I always liked watching Lindros play. I think you guys are a bit hard on the guy. Dude had a big X on his back every time he played. He did take the Flyers to the finals didn't he? Yah, Foresberg was on the other side of the deal along with some other guys, but colorado was much more stacked with talent than the Flyers.

Lindros was far from perfect..but he wasn't the only one to blame for all the crap that went on during his time in Philly. As far as I'm concerned he was one of the best Flyers ever. People sometimes forget all the positives he brought to the organization..multiple division and conference titles, hard-hitting hockey, a berth in the finals. It was an exciting time to be a Flyers fan when he was in his prime.

Lindros was one of the best players in the game without a doubt. Unfortunately he never had a complete team around him and never had a real good quality goalie. I don't care how great one player is. They always need productivity from the rest of the team too. His battle with concussions hurt him too. No matter what anyone says Lindros is/was and always will be one of the best players to ever wear a Flyers jersey in my opinion. Many in Philly still miss you Big E Man! You're all heart bro!

I attend many flyers games each year and I think most fans have put this behind them. I've seen some Flyers Lindros Jerseys at Wachovia Center (which would've been a crime 5-10 years ago) and many admit (myself included) that he was our favorite player. I know a lot of things will always linger over him (Lindros vs Clarke; Lindros's Parents vs Clarke, the concussions, etc) - but for those first 7-8 years in Philly, he was just unstoppable! When is ERIC LINDROS night with teh Flyers?!?!

i'm a big flyers fan nd i watch almost every game n have since the early 90's.The first year i really started getting into it was lindros' rookie year, i was around 8 years old.He made me want to watch every single game bc he would make the game so exciting to watch and i became addicted to hockey instantly..Eric was the most exciting player i ever watched and was my idol growing up.I remember one game he shot the puck in with one hand and me and my friend the next day tried to immatate the goal

As a Ranger fan, it was absurd seeing someone as good as Lindros in the 1997 Playoffs. You almost could not believe this tank of a man could score, skate, and destroy people (at will, seemingly).
I wish him the best. From afar, he looked like someone who got really bad advice as a kid (shunning the Nordiques) and then got jerked around by Bobby Clarke later in his career.
Since Cam Neely got elected, you can make a damn good case that Lindros is a Hall of Famer as well. Look at the stats.

I think he is a hall candidate. If you let Cam Neely in the Hall of Fame, Lindros has way better numbers than him and should be inducted with the same arguments used for Neely. Some people interpret it as the Hall of Reputations, which may be why Neely is in.
