but the original mario kart did inspire many games like this, and we probably wouldn't have seen this game without it

@MrMagicalToast Mario kart is limited to the mario series. This one is across all of them. So there are diffrences. And this game has an all-star move which is only for the character. See the difrence? No you dont. Because all cart games with powerups are apparently copies.

like i said, saying this game is a copy of mario kart is like saying call of duty or half life are copies of the original Doom

doom wasn't the first first person shooter ever, but it's the one that really started it all and made the fps genre

just like mario kart made the kart racing genre

games like this and diddy kong racing take the idea of mario kart and expand on it and add their own inovations

s this game a real good game or wat? im getting a new game 2day and i got a lot of real good games-call of duty modern warfare 2,mx vs atv reflex,skate 2,midnight club los angeles,rock band 1/2,guitar hero 5,grand theft auto iv.......so is this game worth it or wat im running outta good games that i know of

@adamgamedude: Like racing with wacky items, beautiful tracks and familiar Sega tunes? Then hop on with "Sega All-Stars" bandwagon!

It's a bit similiar to Mario Kart (heck, any "clone" is). It has up 2-4 split screen and 8 players at max. online.

From all of the games you listed, I would go with this game.

And you can even download the Demo from XBox Marketplace or PlayStation Store before! Why don't you give it a try? =)

Then look at Crash Team Racing, look at Diddy Kong Racing. Heck, look at ANY other Kart racing -title that is not Mario Kart - Do they share similarities? Yes they do. Can you blame the developers?

@Muggshotter Totally agree there. Been playing the 360 demo for so long and I love it. Has so much more potensial to be the new and better Mario Kart. Faster, more challanging, tons of characters along with DLC ones, plays a lot like Outrun and it's more chaotic. I even played this at Summer Of Sonic and got to meet Sumo Digital. There great guys and have done agrand job with this.
