I love how the Internet makes viewing matches like these possible. Jim Ross commentates on a clean shaven Ted DiBiase wrestling a young Shawn Michaels in the mid-80s. Where else are you ever going to see a match like this?
@xcellken1 ....OUCH!! I remember reading somewhere that during his time at Mid South"Cowboy" Bill Watts fined Michaels for showing up late for a match and he never forgot that incident.
@SmilingSynic He's not the first announcer to mispronounce Ted's last name. Larry Matysik from St. Louis Wrestling Club made the same error doing commentary during a match.
@SmilingSynic They aren't mispronouncing it. that is the way it used to be pronounced. It shifted sometime in the early 80s. Watts always slipped a "Dibiass" in now and then, even after "Dibiasee" was the prevalent way to say it.
The Million Dollar man...I just had a psycho flashback...I remeber his antics with Virgil showing how low people would go for money back in the day...CLASSIC footage
A nice physical matchup between these two.

God, look how bland and boring they both are before their respective WWF careers when Vince turned them both into stars

This is too cute. I've always wondered what Shawn would look like with short hair. I love the announcer's reference to his "nice facial features."

Hey, is that referee a young Randy Anderson (from WCW)?
LOL @ HBK getting his ass torpedoed by the Million Dollar Man.

@Vice260 Yes that is "Pee Wee" Anderson.

i've heard shawn michaels name not said the right way pat patterson says shawn michael and a ring announcer from wccw said shawn nichols

@slipknot789able Pat Patterson only seems to mispronounce names because of his thick French accent.

Great to see a young HBK when he was just starting out.

@irelandguy It is indeed.

Whenever I attended WWF matches in the 90s, I used to yell "Mid South Job Boy" at Sean Micheals. One time, he told me to "fuck off".

Rednecks don't know how to pronounce "DiBiase."

Ring announcer mispronounced Ted DiBiase's last name. That is grounds for firing.

These two also faced each other once in the WWE in 1990. The match ended in a double DQ after both Virgil and Marty Jannetty got involved.

Ted DiBiase is reminding me of Bradshaw/JBL here. Or the other way around.
