  • Poor quality videos suck! The 80's called & they want their videos back!!

  • sickk love the smoothness in aikido takes almost no effort

  • There must be some seriously high armbreaking rates in aikido practice.

  • I hate watching these videos as they are not reality. They show staged attacks that are so unethical in real live situations that it would get someone killed if confronted on the street. Ask any MMA fighter. These attackers com in in a slow traditional manner and its more of a dance that has been worked out. In reality, people attack like maniacs....then what are you gonna do??? Show me a REAL attacker getting submitted then I'll be impressed.

  • @italiandlight Real fight? Can you upload a video of yourself showing this, please?

  • caralho mah os caras são boms

  • If you want throws, just do judo. If you want grips, use jiu jitsu. Aikdio is just a bunch of mediocre throws and grips, from what i can see, mixed with tons of unrealistic throws.

  • @zacktillery those "unrealistic throws” are offcoarse not real. They have to learn the act o”Ukemi” to not hurt themselves. If not a professional may inflict massive damage. In a real life scenerio you don’t see them jump this way but they get 10x as much more pain.(sorry if I miss pronounced anything, I’m not american)

  • @R193L1 You don't have to apologize, you speak very good english for not being american. :) As far as aikido goes, i'll never be convinced that it is useful. I sparred a supposed "master" of aikido once, and he was total garbage. He set my views of all aikido practicioneers.

  • Thank you, and I respect your decision. But what is your personal favorite martial art?

  • @R193L1 I practice mixed martial arts. I've found nothing that gives even half as much "realness" i guess you could say.

  • @zacktillery if you dont mind perhaps you could try the following martial arts at good schools for realness: Sambo, Krav Maga, Siamese boxing, Wing Chun, Japanese Jiu jitsu, Ceveral Karate Styles, Penkration. tehy are the martial arts i would call reallest MMA is a great sport but its not as good for the streets as any of the styles above simply because it isnt "'mean'' enough. *by that i mean locks, eye couches, ripping, biting, groin strikes, throat strikes etc. hope it helpt you :)

  • @SurfacingChannel MMA is considered the most realistic martial art to date. Please, do not pull the "mixed martial arts is NOT an art, but lots of arts together" when it's been warped to have the best of all worlds. I've sparred people from wing chun, penkration (some offset branch) and i'll agree that krav maga is useful, but not as dominant. Overall, i've "dabbled" in most martial arts, as far as one can go without a dojo, and i'll stick with MMA. :)

  • @zacktillery im not saying it isnt realistic i just think its not the most realistic maybe if you combine MMA with strikes that are normally illegal in MMA just to improve it for self defence reasons. uhm for instance elbows, eye couches etc.

  • OMG poor thecnics and dumb execution. Try real aikido, please.

  • This is a great video. Advanced for an orange belt. Great system. How do you feel Aikido will stack up against MMA, Boxing, or Muay Thi on the streets? - thanks all being equal of course...

  • @LiveAlive4Life I think aikido can do pretty well once you get grab of the other fighter unless the other one punches / kicks you ko before you can react either, and i think it depends which MMA fighter or thaiboxer i wouldn't wanna fight fedor or buakaw on the streets with any martial art

  • orange belt doesnt exist in aikido.. youre black or white thats it

  • @Neg47rue we Americans rui-- i mean modernize it so 13 year old girls can be black belts, and instructors can make more moneys...,. ;)

  • some aikido basics, there are no "real" fightings

  • This is stupid. Every aikido technique is accompanied with some asshole diving like a stunt man, just making the other person look good. In a real life situation, this wouldn't work at all.

  • @korbin420 correction, if the other guy didn't do the said asshole diving that you said it may result to broken wrist and dislocated joints, that asshole diving is called "falling" thats the right way to protect yourself in that counter attack, in aikido they are both learning form each other, the other one is doing the technique and the other one is executing the right "falling" to avoid injuries, if you use aikido to an untrained person it may result to a broken wrist and dislocated joints :)

  • @korbin420 the diving is essential mate,if you knew anything about aikido they specialise in locks, grips and throws,i dont study it but a friend does, ive helped him master certain moves and belive me if you dont fall or dive you will have broken and snapped bones, should you doubt the effect these moves have on an opponent walk into a dojo and ask for a demo on you...then get back to me

  • bravo jocicu!! samo mi reci ima li vas gde u beogradu da vas nadjem?

  • i like the whole concept of aikido but the only problem is most of the techniques cant be utilized in a practical self defence!

  • I thought aikijutsu didn't have a belt colouring system, only kyu and dan?

  • these techniques aren't very effective they seem to have no back up plan no one throws just one punch or kick with no follow up attack and then just lets you get wrist control or foot control and execute a move with no struggle even the average dude with zero martial art exp could counter these if they just threw a one,two punch or followed the kick up with a one,two punch simple as that

  • Self Defense at the police academy.

  • same old comments. 2types of people. 1st type, someone who sees that this doughnut muncher must think hes in the Matrix in pulling this flashing Hollywood bullshit off. 2nd type, another doughnut muncher who learned everything they know about fighting from a book, and uses the mask of the internet to throw corrections at others facts from a distance. let us, my realistic brothers, rise up, and crush these fat heads!

  • WOW!!! If you get attacked by an 80 yr old drunk Monkey, this might help !!! Who fights like that ??? Ok My bad A Slow 80 Yr old Drunk monkey? Richard Simmons could kick thay Ass!!!

  • nvm u spelt it right. srry wasnt looking

  • you spelt jiu jitsu wrong I think. im not sure im not the best speller but great vid :)

  • @MISTAlanky18 it depends on what jiu jitsu hes meaning brazilian jiu jitsu or the oher ju jutsu idk

  • @BBEEAANN1 lol not like it matters, show me one vid of aikido being effective in a real fight against a semi trained opponent.

In fact don't even bother, I'll tell you already that there are none! :)

  • Sorry, but I don't see this working at full speed against a muay thai practitioner

  • @bobjoemagee this vid is made for aikido practitionres to see and learn the tehnics .thats why the tehnics are performed slowly.

  • hilarious :)..in real life the kick comes in a blink of an eye thats why even pro fighters get knocked out...period. you cant walk around like that when the somebody launches a kick . maybe you will find time to pick your hand up. thats it. I agree with aldosv73

  • This only works on non trained persons, a trained person would not kick to the mid section like this. Nice set ups but pretty unrealistic I wrestle in college and cons-train in martial arts, my buddy has been training in Akido for about 8 years and I drooped him with a leg kick.!

  • @aldosv73 The amount of practice one has had in Aikido, is not equal to how well one has mastered Aikido.

  • 3:10 he misses his hold so the guy just stands there and lets him get it....lol. Real aikido? if it is aikido is real lame.

  • how does your belt system work ??? u master a move and rank up like to you have one move per belt??

  • LOL open yourself up and assume hes kicking u in that spot and see what happens when you actually get kicked in the face. a regular asailant who isnt trained in the martial arts is not very likely to be able to kick that high at all. and someone who can kick that high would rather either aim for the head or the lower ribs..... why would someone kick near the shoulder? and also why would people practice martial arts that arent relevant to todays times?

  • @desicuellar

One small point... there are no martial arts that are relevant to today's times. It is all an anachronism. Wars are almost never fought without weapons and usually at ranges where you hardly see your enemy. Sport fighting is just that...a sport. It has rules and limits on what moves you can use and how they can be applied.

  • @whitelabrat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is completely relevant to today... how have you come to the conclusion that no martial art is relevant to today's times?

  • @desicuellar Who will you use it on? Sure if you get into a bar fight you might actually be fighting bare handed. But if you let some guy in a bar goad you into a fight you deserve the assault charge you will be receiving. Weapons from guns to knives are commonplace. If some one means you harm with any fore thought at all Jui-Jitsu will not save you. It doesn't take much training to use even a knife. Weapons give an advantage for a reason. Just give them your wallet and walk away.

  • I have never heard of an orange belt in Aikido. And If this if Aikido this is some strange Aikido.

  • Esto no es Aikido!!! Cualquier cosa menos aikido...

  • 不細工な技だ。

    すでに合気道とは呼べない。。。

    This is not a aikido...

  • The music is actually but it doesnt go great with the video.

  • @Kolashov

    MUSIC IS FROM AUDIOSWAP,UNFORTUNATELY

  • SENSEIJOCIC, you should consider making a DVD or a book, there's really good stuff in what you teach.

  • i would under no circumstances consider technique number four. This is wrong, you put the knife at you throat basicly just to through the guy down. very unrealistic no matter which way the blade is facing in reality you would be cut pretty bad either, to your hands or to the throat making the attack fatal. just a heads up to all martial artists take what is necessary and effective

  • number four...?...knife?...

  • its a nice video, too bad you people call it REAL aikido ;)

  • Aikido was written orange belt,

    and I replied (bravo) capable!

    beautiful video!!!!

  • 合気道。橙帯。

  • ブラボー!

  • I like the techniques that counter the kicks, thanks for sharing. You should open a dojo in Southern California or Northern Mexico(baja). :-)

  • THANKS, H4I2I2EE :)

  • THANKS

  • I do have a question about technique 1. Have you ever attempted that counter on someone with muay thai training? I just dont see it happening... I mean it looks good but if i through a rear left at you, ide be amazed if you were able to pull that off. I'm not trying to insult your style/technique, im just curious as to how real world effective that would be.

  • why not? muay thai is kicking, lots of chances

  • defence from muay thai kicks comes later...in aikido you must be patient....first you must teach yourself a basics...and for information...in muay thai u have low and high kicks...in 1. technicque is kick very similar high muay thai kick...if u have any questions u can sand to me with no probs...bye

  • @mihaelnovak plz dude .... stop ...

  • Awesome!5 stars

  • THANKS kenshin715 :)

  • awesome ,5*****

  • THANKS Feelings64 :)
