So I am learning on an acoustic guitar and I just learned my first song (wake me up when september ends) and now I have jumped right to the pretender >:D so what kind of electric guitar should I get for my first electric guitar?? I can go up to about $500 not including amp

@Superkool453 I just got my first a couple months ago too, and wake me up was one of my first as well. I got a Fender Strat. You can never go wrong with one of those. You could also probably get a Telocaster.

@1995jsn for punk, just about any guitar will do as long as you got some distortion, but if you want a sort of rock n' roll sound i would go for like an Epiphone les paul or something with humbucking pickups
