I almost cried from the sentimental value of this video it has on my childhood. One of the most treasured memories of my father was this video he taped for me on an old VHS that i can't find. Thank you ! man i need a hug . lol
All hail the magnificent uploader! *bows down* FINALLY I have found this-- I only had a taped copy, and I'm not sure where it is :S Thank you thank you thank you! <3
Yes, I remember seeing this on network television back when it first aired and later on the Disney Channel. I agree. The Disney Channel was good back then, catered to all ages ("Disney Nighttime For Adults", "The Best of Hollywood"), and commercial-free. I hope the current Disney Channel gets these kind of complaints daily and petitioned frequently. ; )
"Lady" was the inspiration for video making! Thank you so much for sharing the original! I made my own version when I couldn't find the VHS. So awesome to see this now! And see how much I remembered and got right
Clips from cartoons shown during Weird Al's "Eat It" video Cold Turkey [1951] Mickey & The Beanstalk [1947] Mickey's Parrot [1938] The Army Mascot [1942] The Riveter [1940] Alpine Climbers [1936] Tomorrow We Diet [1951] Bath Day [1946] Man's Best Friend [1952] [.....]
Thank you, my dad videotaped this when I was like 3 and I couldn't find it anymore! I am so so happy!!!

Great memories, this was my favorite episode. DTV had a massive influence on my taste in music, thank God I was born in '83.

Y'know, I just realized how odd it is to hear "Eat It" on a show commemorating Valentines Day....But who cares? It's Weird Al!

I know that feeling all too well. Heck, I can remember events of my life 20 years earlier better than I can remember 20 days.

At 3:38, they stole that from "Melody Time".

system: How could Disney steal from itself?
TherealRNO 3 years ago 2
The BG is from the "Once Upon a Wintertime" segment.
systemoperator 3 years ago 2
system: Still, Disney owns it, so it wouldn't be stealing to borrow something it made.
TherealRNO 3 years ago 2
You're right! They probably borrowed it.
systemoperator 3 years ago
system: Heck, Robin Hood recycled footage like Snow White, The Acristocats, and other older films, so borrowing footage here would be no surprise.
TherealRNO 3 years ago
Yeah, it wouldn't.

I've seen this before and the end of part 3 here is missing a snippet of Jiminy Cricket with a yo-yo before the commercial break. ; )

I taped this off the Disney Channel (back when it was good, catered to everyone, and still commercial free)
