"maybe you can talk her out of the beating that you know was coming" lololol I realised this doesnt work..you would usually have to run..and don't look back
And how u knew when your mom was speaking to An american lol
i think so many of us have this same life story. i just happen to remember enough to write and talk about it. glad you're relating, donjuan. our story needs to be told, especially when the son of an immigrant is running the country.
i still don't understand what in the video states that i expect ALL people to achieve so i don't know what is "fair" in the statement. please explain what in the video makes the above statement "fair" when compared to the rest of the story in my playlist. or is this a conversation "aralight1" and "yusuf76us" are having off this page? NOTE: there is no anger in my text. i don't argue on yt. i just want to know where the "fair statement" is coming from regarding my vid(s). makes sense?
i don't expect anyone to do anything but experience all the goodness in themselves. no one can expect me to do anything except live true to my conception of what is the BEST for me. this continuing saga of my life on youtube --watch the other vids please-- is the documentation of how i progressed to know what was BEST in me when i was young. my wish for all people --black, white, young, old-- is to come to that vision. anything wrong with that wish?
that's me. saying yusuf76us makes a "fair" statement is implying that somewhere in my video(s) i'm claiming that I expect "all to achieve b/c some do." where in the vids do i say i expect all people to achieve or that i believe there is one model to success or there are guarantees. in fact, the crux of my story --and this is just a SMALL part of my life, my first few yrs. in america-- says there are many ways to achieve success but they each start with understanding the SELF above all else.
I was agreeing with him or her because if they had heard that from you it would have been a fair statement, so, are you saying that you did not say that?
the only way to understand life is to figure one's self out. most answers in life lay within. we are not separate from the universe. we are in in, part of it. same atoms, same cycles, same motions. figure you out and the universe is revealed... get honest. that's all i'm getting at. honesty made my living easier. if that makes me seem vulnerable... heck, i'm happy... i want black men, any man wanting transformation to get happy... know thyself and all else follows.
I swear they must take Carib moms somewhere and teach them how to hand out a beating like that! Mothers are be the backbone but the relationships with them can be very complicated.
like i said in the video, our moms were going thru the same shit you are i were. and they had to deal with knowing our shit too and that they had no answers for their shit or ours. there's a lot of shit when folks don't talk honestly from the start. nothing worthwhile is ever built on quiet.
Mother's are the BACKBONE of the black community. Thank you for uplifting the black man! I appreciate your action in uplifting the black man because the positive images are needed. Thank you for finding me, bygINCpresents. You sent me another video but now I am going through all of your videos! =) I have 3 blogs and they are going all on each one with a link to you! =)
thanks. the whole deal with doing these is to tell my story from 1st year immigrant to adult. how does someone become black in america? a man in america? more to come.

You can't expect all to achieve because some do. There are many elements that go into success. And there are no guarantees.

That is a fair statement.

It takes a strong person to allow themselves to be vulnerable the way you have.

bygINCpresents, you did not live the REGRESSIVE lifesytle. You took the challenges by the horns, and overcame them by being a PROGRESSIVE black man.
