The Fed's job is to protect the dollar, not protect Wall St. I never heard Bernanke complain to Congress that banks were under regulated. The Fed intervened only after the asset bubble swelled to insane proportions then exploded. I should run the Fed. I'd put Congress on a strict diet plan and put the banks on a repayment with interest plan. I would slowly work interest rates up to 5 percent, balance the trade deficit and I'd find that missing TARP money yesterday!
