  • forget race, this video is the recipe for success. You make your life what it is by your choices. You don't have to live in the slums, do drugs, go to prison, be on welfare etc etc. Stay clean, stay in school, go to church and try to be a better person today than you were yesterday and you will be the type of person everybody looks up to. Look at all the white people who stood behind Shirley Sherrod. I bet there is not one white person in the USA that doesn't know her name.

  • @MrFredHampton

My challenge to you. See how many moronic comments you can make and not get blocked.

  • Keep bring the good word.

  • 12 steps of challenge I agree totally but dont just single out just black people like no other race dont have any issue too. that 12 steps challenge should apply to all men & women of all race. ya digg!!!

  • @KillaTones1

True, it can be for everyone. However, I make no apologies for speaking specifically to Blacks. That is who this message was for.

  • 12 Step Challenge for Humans more like it! If I ever visit America again one day I want to buy you a drink. You are a fine human being and no doubt you've had your fair share of shit in life - like all of us but damn it man you have more power than you realise.

  • Sir you deserve respect for this video

  • Stay the hell out of my house you moron. Good God, where do you fools come from?

  • Come on, have some respect!

  • @Stefano5441

    For whom?

  • GodAndtheRepublic

  • @GodAndtheRepublic Before the blacks get their check and plane ticket make sure the whites get theirs too to go back to whereva they orignated from.

  • Sir,

    You are ANNOINTED!

The black community needs men like you!

  • Everything that was said is great advice for anyone of any race.

  • Yes sir. Thank you for posting this brotha. I know some people on the lite rail train system who NEED to see this video!

  • Makes sense for everyone.

  • Number one challenge should be to have protected sex.

  • No. No premarital sex if anything.

  • this man is on point

  • real talk

  • as a young black male,i respect and agree with your words.

  • deep!!!!

  • R U A Real Black Man or Woman? 12 Step Challenge

This is an idiotic concept, no offense. A Real Black man is one who was born black, period. It is not a standard to live up to.

Your steps do have some validity, but they have nothing to do with Being a real BLACK MAN OR WOMEN.

Lets use some real wisdom, when developing these videos including and especially the TITLES, when addressing those we truely want to help, my brother.

  • Everyone is entiltled to thier opinion. My 12 steps work well for me.

  • I am certain that they work well. My point was just that, ones Blackness isn't defined by any guidlines presented by you or anyone else. It is a dangerous statment to say X,Y,Z, makes you a REAL BLACK MAN or WOMAN.

  • One thing my Brother I will say is this, One must learn to eat the meat and spit out the bone. I speak in terms of abstractness. Those who truly seek the light of day, will find their way within my words. But, first, they must free themselves from hate and blame towards others. Lastly and most importantly, they must accept responsibilitry for their own life. Period.

All will not get it. I don't expect them to.

    TmOT 2009

  • I hear that too, but Freeing ones self from hate and blame does not mean Ignore the ROOT REASONS that various symptoms have arisen in OUR community. Just as when you go to the doctor. No sickness is completely healthed unless you address the ROOT of the reason why you got sick.

  • Very true. There are root causes to everything. Education - don't quit school. Black On Black Crime - Don't kill you brother or Sister. Fatherless kids - Don't get pregnant by a bum. What have I missed?

  • Are you serious? Is that as far back as you can go when searching for the ROOT. The ROOT is the begging of a problem not the friut of those roots which you just listed.

  • Again, abstractness. i was not going back. I can only fix the choices I make now. My kids did not give a damn that I had a felony conviction. They wanted to be fed and clothed. I had to overcome and I did so by the choices I made in the NOW. Damn why I became I crook. I was determinied for their sakes not to remain one.

  • I have enjoyed this chat, but I must conclude that we must agree to disagree. I have proven in my life and the lives of those I have helped, that if you change your belief system, gain wisdom and knowledge and make better choices, Your life will be all the better. Peace and Love Brother. TMOT.

  • Regarless of you Approach if you GOAL is truley the uplifting of our people, then DO YOU.

Left a message on your page as well.

  • Thanks and truly, that is my only goal. I have daughters, I wish that they have the best that a Man can offer. That is only possible if the Man knows what being a Man is and that they know one when they meet Him. Peace, TMOT.

  • thank u! i was just curious.

  • I was even cursed for speaking on Marital Fidelity (even if you have 5 wives). The fact that I quoted the Bible, no one could hear the value of light in that piece of moral wisdom. Yet I am the enemy. Blacks need to remember, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Those that hate my message are the enemies of Blacks and I am theirs. Blacks should count me as a friend, eventhough my Truth is painful. This is not about violence. Light and Darkness are naturally opposed. It's Nature.

  • Those that hate your message are the enemies of YOUR MESSAGE. Your message isn't the BLACK MESSAGE it is simply yours. You don't speak for all blacks. i am not saying I am for or against you message. I am saying you can only interject your Opinion, and we all have those, right?

  • My message has no color. It is Unerversal. None the less, I am addressing Black People. It is apropo.

  • PS, you can always find me in the Community. One has said I am a suicidal fool for calling out the ills of the Black community. Someone has to.

  • You say someone has to but they are evident and we are all aware of them. Thats "beating a dead horse. However their are OTHER societal ills that plague this nation as a whole that most are AFRAID to address. No progress can be made by continuing to point the finger at the victims of those National societal ills.

  • I don't know you and this is not directed towards you.

I am sick of these pro black brothers with the threats and insults and no pictures. I am an old street dog whose done hard time with Animals and Men. I was once a part of the problem. I'm not now. Men look each other in the eyes. They don't hide behind pictures and insults. This is why I delete those cowards words, insults and profane language. Let me see your face if you want to curse me. Otherwise, get out of my way. I am a Man.

  • I hear what you are saying. and I know you aren't refering to me since my Voice, face, pictures, and live video can be veiwed on my page.

I understand your impatience for people that simply talk behind a blank screen. And threats are hollow and never necessisary here. An insult however is subject to interpretation. You may not call someone a name outright, but many things you say may be taken as insulting to your veiwers.

  • We just have to be aware of that and be prepared for the backlash cause by our statments. When insulted you should re-evalute what insulting things you may have said to elicit such responses. We like to think we are being right and excatly but when delivering what we call TRUTH, most times we offend someone.

  • Your words are wise and I will keep them in my heart the next time I speak. I will add this. Truth is always painful. Have you ever really listened? What is wrong with saying, Why blame the White man when we kill each other daily? Why blame the white man when we drop out of school, Why, Why Why? They asked King to shut up. They killed MX when he exposed EM and spoke out against violence, they Crucified Christ and Villified Bill Cosby. Womeone has to stand up. I just ask, don't curse me hiding.

  • using the word "Blame" is a cop out and a way to deflect. when a women is raped and gets aids, Is she Blaming her rapist when ashe point shim out? Or is she simply giving credit where credit is due? I think I know some of the people you are refering too as far as Cursing you in hiding. But have you ver reflected on why they cursed you.

  • Respectfully speaking, we all think we have TRUTH that can help people, but we must also be compasionate to their indiviudla plights that we may not have experience personally.

  • I seen and lived in Hell. Yet I know there is someone always in worse shape. Thank God for America.

  • Preach!

    Well said.

    You are a wise man.

    Please keep it up!
