Try to say it over and over, as fast as you can, and as you do, pay attention to what your tongue is doing. Now do it while moving the tip of your tongue forward slightly, so that it's in the middle of the alveolar ridge instead of the back edge. Loosen the tip of your tongue. Now keep doing it, and make sure you aspirate strongly on the "p," it'll help. Good luck!

I hear it's very difficult to learn, though, considering that it has an extremely complicated case system with 15 cases!! There's just something about Finnish (And other scandinavian languages) that just lends itself so well to being sung like this.

@Replicaate Except that Finnish has nothing to do with Scandinavian languages. Finnish is a Uralic language, Scandinavian languages are Indo-European. Finnish sounds completely different, the grammar is completely different, the words are completely different, the very "soul" of the language is completely different. So, there's really no grounds for a comparison like this.

I'm not saying Finnish is "better" than Scandinavian languages. I'm saying it's different.

I was born in finland and lived there until i was 10. And even though I am not finnish by blood, culturally I only truly feel at home in Finland. When you live there the people just have a certain spirit that you can never attain anywhere else in the world (except the scandenavian region).
