i met pipin back in cuba i was around 10-12 years old. i am 40 now and since then he was the best in matanzas where he is originally and highly respected in cuba, i can not believe hi is doing that depth still. people back then used to say he was born with an extra lung. anyways my respect to him. you are the best. and to clarify black groupers are not dump, they are difficult to hunt here in florida believe it. i encourage anyone to try it here. besides the law says 24inches and those larger
@c0nn0r180 Black groupers don't exist in Australia. If you think all grouper species behave the same, you need to come and hunt black groupers in the carribean.
You guys that commented on groupers being an easy target to spear have never shot a black grouper a day in your life. More than likely, your from the west coast too. If you don't present yourself the right way on these groupers, they"ll bolt and never be seen on the reef again. Black grouper aren't dumb like red, Nassau, gag, or Goliath grouper. Trust me, this takes skill.
this guy appears to be super confident in pursuit of his prey & confident of his ability both before & after stinging the fish. The fish is as good as dead before he even dives down so skillful is he.
Nice video, well shot. The music was a bit sureal for me, however the diving and the fish looked awesome. Your lucky we have max size limits on grouper as well as min sizes. Anything over 100cm is not allowed. Thanks for sharing
i agree with the other posters. grouper of that size are pretty easy, but the depth and time you are diving is fantastic, refreshingly new style of video, keep em comin

Great Vid, good job to the camera man and editor....pitty that you guys target grouper...I find them to easy a target, plus did you know that the size fish you guys were getting would take +- 15years to get that size....? conserve and preserve guys...merely a consideration...
