Alice In Chains is one of my favorite bands, behind Nirvana of course. I just really love their music. Layne and Jerry have both made a huge impact on me.
And as a fledgeling acoustic artist myself, I would really appreciate if you could just take a few minutes out of your day to watch an original or two of mine. And hey, if you like it, feel free to subscribe. Maybe you will hear the Layne influence? Thanks.
Lots of those photos showed Layne standing next to former bassist Mike Starr.....and now we've lost him to the same illness that took Layne. What a shame....RIP guys!
Layne, may you rest in peace. You know you´ve been an insperation for alot of young people, trying to describe their feelings in this world. My biggest regret is that you will never be able to spread your message through your songs again.
You might have been a Heroine-addict, but you had knowledge of this world, that none of us wold ever know. Thanks for sharing..
When Layne died, So did Alice in Chains...... :( I like the new singer and all and its nice they are playing the songs, but It doesnt compare at all.....
The Picture at 4:02. Anyone know what show this is from? It Looks like the unplugged show, but i have watched that a million times and layne never wears a leather jacket.
R.I.P Layne and Mike, your wings are no longer denied.

no one can replace layne, his character was an intense one, william duvall may be able to sing like him, but not write the lyrics he wrote.

@tamerswan - Oh...sorry. The term "illness" is another way of referring to their shared addiction to Heroin.

Jerry Cantrell went to my high school, Spanaway Lake High School in Spanaway, WA. There is a thing about him in the music room.,

MTV Unplugged performance of Down In A Hole = nothing short of epic. Layne put so much feeling into his vocals, especially in this recording.
