  • STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN.

ALWAYS HAS BEEN #1, AND ALWAYS WILL BE #1 TO ME.

  • It's amazing and saddening at the same time to see that only the legends get big pops nowadays and everybody knows they can't be here forever.

  • With a name like Stone Cold Steve Austin how can you not be taken seriously?

  • this wasnt the best raw pop of stone cold this was a regular pop for him at the attitude era now people think that pops like this are the best but there is no way in hell that this pops are better than the ones on the attitude era

  • This pop was weak

  • It gets real annoying when you guys keep comparing Austin and The Rock. Then you have the audacity to talk trash about one or the other.

Both were amazing and both got loud pops and both are what made wrestling watchable. Period. How could you hate either one of these guys? That's just stupid.

  • Screw 3.14

    ROCK ON 3:16!!!

  • the attitude era may be dead but stone cold carries it's spirit wherever he goes

  • The Rock has been getting much bigger pops than this ever since he returned.

  • @5mikewwe92 Doubt that.

  • @killbill2241 It's true, go back and watch WM 27 and Raw the night after.

  • i was there live!!!! :D

  • I'd say the old Austin attitude era pops were louder but this was a great pop and a up your to the pg rating (a tribute to the old days!)

  • Austin pops where out of this world... but i think the pop tha HHH got when he returned and the cm punk in chicago could match the pops Austin got, nonetheless Austin is the best of all time!

  • @jaffaraod Austin is probably the greatest or most popular of all time, but The Rock is by far the best of all time.

  • @5mikewwe92 What do you mean by that bro?

  • @Mr1131988 By what? Rock being the best of all time? Well, in my opinion, Rock is the complete Total Package. As I've many times before, Rock has the edge over Austin in terms of charisma, actual talent, and ability. But it looks like that Rock still isn't considered the G.O.A.T. Austin's impact in the business is bigger than Rock's I suppose since he's the one that began the Attitude Era. And Austin also seems to be on top as far as numbers go, so that's why I say that.

  • @5mikewwe92 The Rock is also my favorites but of all time? On the mic and overall charisma yes. But of all time? We're talkin' more than half a century of WWE's existence. There were so many legends that came before the 80s like Lou Thesz, Nick Bockwinkle, Harley Race, Bruno Sammartino etc. As much as I'd love to say Stone Cold is the G.O.A.T, it's really hard to tell. It's all subjective.

  • @Mr1131988 Yeah, I see what you mean. Beleive it or not, I've actually thought about that though. Before the 80's, the names you mentioned among others are the pioneers of pro wrestling. And it's hard to tell in that regard. So yeah, you do have a point.

  • @Mr1131988 I agree with you it's definitely subjective and there are a lot of wrestling greats from the past.

But the way I see it... if the greatest of all time isn't Stone Cold, then who is it? Who was actually better than Steve Austin? I can't say that about anyone.

Hogan had a hell of a run, HBK might be the best in-ring performer, Flair might have sold the most tickets over his whole career, but I can't say that as an overall package that anyone reached the level of Austin.

  • @bobdonda That's true and you can't deny that he saved the WWE business-wise. Yes Austin is the biggest draw and yes he made the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time so he definitely is the greatest to fans like me and you who were only around for the last 30 years or less but unless I know my wrestling history, I'm in no position to say who the definitive "greatest" is. It would merely be an opinion.

  • @Mr1131988 It's hard to deny that Austin was the biggest draw. But as far as who made the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time, that's The Rock. Now Austin probably made the biggest impact overall, but Rock made a bigger impact in a shorter amount of time. They even mention it on the "Top 50 Superstars of All Time" DVD.

  • @5mikewwe92 Dude you are an intelligent fan and you make great arguments for The Rock but why do you feel the need to prove how great The Rock is? Everyone knows it and he has place among the greats. Of course, he isn't the greatest ever because not only was in WWE for 7 years, he was a wrestler for 7 years period.

  • @Mr1131988 Yeah I know it man. I bet I really come off as big Rock mark. I guess I can just be pretty defensive or something if I feel Rock is being discredited. IDK, but I apoligize. I don't really consider him to be the greatest ever despite that he's my favorite. I'd say it's either Hogan or Austin even though it's subjective & hard to tell. But I honestly just think that Rock is a notch above them all. But that's just my opinion.

  • @bobdonda What do you mean by reached the level of Austin? He is by far one of my favourites, along with Hogan,HBK, Mick foley (as anyone) and undertaker.. could also throw The Rock in there. Not trying to argue, just wondering what you mean..

  • @TheWoodydny I don't think anyone else has been able to go as far as Austin has, when it comes to things like making an emotional connection to the crowd, making them truly care whether he succeeds or not, and whipping the crowd into a frenzy when he goes on a rampage.

Things like drawing the attention of far more casual, only-occasional wrestling fans and making them watch every week.

The level of interest and entertainment that he brought every week is unmatched imo.

  • @5mikewwe92 It's all subjective.. but I found Austin's talent for wrestling to be better than the Rock's. The Rock was much more athletic, but Austin kept it simple and did everything possible to make it look like a real fight (no crazy overselling, no loosely-applied Sharpshooters).

Rock may have been more charismatic... Austin had a different kind of charisma though. Rock was entertaining and made you want to see him win... Austin made you want to be him and do what he's doing.

  • @bobdonda I suppose I can understand the overselling, but loosely-applied Sharpshooters? I don't even know why people criticize Rock's sharpshooter. Personally, I've always thought that he did it pretty well.

The thing with Austin, is that everyone really liked and enjoyed his gimmick. And he pulled off the "tough rebel badass thing" better than anyone. And that's why everyone wanted to see what he's doing. Rock on the other hand was mostly over Because of his charisma & attitude.

  • @bobdonda Me too I thought Steve Austin was a better wrestler though not as athletic as The Rock. If you watch his older matches, you could see that he was well-trained. The guy knew his stuff. He wasn't a technical wrestler or a guy that did back flips but he was a good worker. I wasn't shocked that he was the Ringmaster. He was that damn good. He also had in-ring psychology. The Stone Cold character called for less wrestling and more brawling.

  • Austin's best pop was when he helped Mick Foley win the WWF title from the Rock.

  • @ratedrsuperstar81 Definitely, but there were soe in 97-98 that were just a Insane. And who could forget 2000 when he returned at Backlash or Unforgiven

  • @BSabres87 Yeah that was definately one to remember...but the one when he helped Mick Foley stands out in my mind the most. I've never seen so many arms shoot up in the air and people just going beserk for one individual. Stone Cold was, is and STILL is the man!

  • These kiddy pops are nothing like his pops in 1997-2001

  • lol init 3 man can make wwe crazy undertaker rock and stone cold

watch?v=WYaI3GsA7Ss to watch biggest pop ever in 96 when taker returnd ito face team mabel

  • People really need to chill out over the "PG" era. So much bitching: "Cena sucks; Bring back The Attitude era; blah, blah." Just enjoy the show. The past is in the past, so move on. Most people have.

  • @TheoHuxtable07 I agree and disagree. People do need to embrace the PG era, as lack of swearing and blood isn't what's hurting the product. The writing is horrendous, and the guys have no emotion because it's overly scripted. The new guys need to be given some creative freedom, and they just need to be better so people can get emotionally invested in the product again.

  • @patg316 and theres no better way of emotionally investing yourself into a sentence than saying 'fuck'. PG IS for a fact ruining wwe. don't try to deny it. people don't have the freedom to write whatever because of it. as well as ruining the match entertainment. Last week's SD had twice the rating because it had blood. Cody Rhodes was busted wide open. Thats why the sudden ratings jump.

  • @patg316 Thank you/ SO many are upset cause of the lack of cursing, etc. Its SO far into "Sports Entertainment" (scripts, everyone is the same, etc) They need to fire the Hollywood writers, let the wrestlers be wrestlers.

  • Backlash 2000 when he returned....nuff said.

  • @ThePacmanClassic Or when Steve helped Foley to win the WWF title first time

  • you call this a pop??? fuck you, PG era fans.

  • Pffffffffffffffffffff.... loudest pop my ASS! Maybe in this bullshit PG ERA! In the Attitude Era, there were pops EVERY NIGHT!

  • The rock had a bigger pop last night

  • I want 316 people to like this. And that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!

  • who the fuck is that announcer? did they just grab that guy off the street? he sounds like shit.

  • @acrobaticaromatic

Justin Roberts. He served as a back up in 2004 for Smackdown but when ECW became a show for the WWE he was sent to do there. Now he is on RAW.

  • i was there too man when that glass broke it was deffening in the sports arena & i was pissin off all of the little cena fans around me when i was begging for Austin to give cena another stunner that was one of the best Raws i've been to simply because Austin was there

  • Some people seem to have misread the title. It says RAW'S biggest pop for the date specified in the title. There's nothing about it being the biggest he's ever gotten or the biggest Raw has ever had. Just the biggest for that particular night.

  • this matches every pop Austin had from 1997 on

  • @dohboy200 are you serious? go watch backlash 2000 and say that.

  • @dohboy200 No pop can match the pops Austin got during Attitude era

  • Not the same massive pops he's use to getting..fucking popcorn fart kids..dont know real talent when they see one

  • there is only one stone cold

  • The Kings of pops based on their enterance alone...Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan

  • If wwe was smart, the would bring back some of the legends from the attitude era.

  • Every time that glass shatters the crowd loses it!

  • for all you idiots...he said he was the real king of pop..read the description..that is what the guy is implying

  • Stone Cold Steve Austin. The man who open the door for the Attitude Era at the point when he discovered Austin 3:16.

  • @telnetcarlos open the doors yes the rock the man who made the attitude era and took it to the next level took made the word superstar mean something tranceded popularity like no one else ever has

  • defos not the biggest pop hahahaha

  • Eh. I expected it to sound louder coming from an actual camera inside the building but it still didn't sound that loud. :/ But yeah, pops for Stone Cold NOW are still the loudest. Cena's and Orton's are kinda tied at 2nd.

  • @matt61234666 What in the world are you talking about?

  • @telnetcarlos he meant mj is known as the king of pop.....but in pro wrestling austin is the real king of pop

  • @telnetcarlos michael jackosn. the child molester

  • @telnetcarlos He is saying, the real pop king, as in wrestling pops...

  • u r a jackson mj has nothin 2 do wit this get a life pussy...rip mj 4ever and its king of pop dumbass!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @matt61234666 Dude A Pop King In The WWE Is If The Crowd Goes Crazy When Your Music Hits!

  • @matt61234666 wow...what an idiot...You deserve to get Stunnered & than Moonwalked on!

  • @matt61234666 that is not what its implied for an MJ could do more and has more talent than u (no insult offence intended)

  • @matt61234666 LOL are you braindead

  • @matt61234666, I lol'd.

  • this is isnt is best pop, actually it was lame compared to the 1997 - 2000 ones

  • @PivotMakeranimations I think the uploader meant the best pop of the night

  • @SplashBoi3000 i know pop is the crowds ovation, but what does the initials stand for????

  • @PivotMakeranimations I've gone to live events in 2001 for PPV Vengeance and this night's pop was bigger then the one he got at Vegeance where Jericho beat The Rock and Austin in the same night to become the Undisputed Champion.

But I can't be at all Live events between 1997-2000.

  • this is a shite pop. Nothing compared to 1995 2000/2001 even. Meaning that its shit these days and the glory days off WWF are long gone. Againa SHIT POP. Also all the kids have ruined and crippled an amazing show. Goddamn kids ruin it for everyone.

  • @chrisakatoe456 this pop was definitley not bigger than his fake one recently, but dude wwe sucked from 2004-2008. that was not PG. the attitude era was the 2000s, now wrestlings product is simply not as good due to lack of competition. btw it is getting better now

  • @chrisakatoe456 thats because most of the people there dont even know who he is

  • @telnetcarlos hoodini can :D

  • @PivotMakeranimations

    Naaaah...

    Really? Ya don't say.

  • @PivotMakeranimations & austin pop in 2001 when wwf & alliance were brawling in the parking lot backstage & the ring

    raw before invasion ppv

  • His titantron is Best EVER & forever

  • Yeah but Steve deserves all the big pops
