@iluvsees putting them on doesn't hurt at all...but your teeth will feel sore for the past 4-5 days and then it's over..during these days you'll feel like you can't eat a thing..i got very sad,i thought i wouldn't enjoy eating anymore..but after a week you can eat everything..except hard and sticky things like nuts and gum :)

Man... They gotta polish and dry the teeth FOREVER... then it's just click click click and snap the wire in place and your good to go... but you'l be in pain for the next week... but then its like they aren't there... except for how you cant bite down into hard things that'll break the braces, you cant have sticky or chewy things, and well... it just kinda sucks to have braces... but then after you'll be SO happy... (im still waiting for that last part)

@ModelHorse8 it only takes like an hour or so... you'd only sleep if you wanted to or if you were really tired... plus you need to keep your mouth open for the orthodontist so you kinda gotta be a little awake (the thing that pushes your cheeks aside isnt enough t keep the whole mouth open enough)

@xJustinBelieber Yes when they put the spacers in before you get braces, each on of your teeth hurt for about a week, and when you eat it hurts, after about a week the pain goes away. then when you get the braces, when they tighten them it hurts all over again for about a week.

@xJustinBelieber no ..it was surprisingly not painful..my doctor removed four of my teeth , i can tell u that hurt like hell..but putting on the braces was sooo easy after that...but after 4 or 5 hours you'll feel the itching and pressure of the metal..u need pain killers cuz it'll feel like aliens invaded your mouth lol but in a week or soo you can eat fine...and besides its totally worth it if you NEED to have the braces in the first place..

Wow, my orthodontist has these little cases that contain the braces and he puts them over my teeth and presses really hard, after he takes off the case, the braces are in place. Oh and btw, the lip thing doesn't hurt that bad so don't worry ;)

@lyndseydawnx It aches like hell the first few days but then you don't even notice them. Getting them tightened hurts sometimes but not nearly as much as getting them on the first time. Bands don't hurt at all but are a little uncomfortable at first and a pain to take on/off. Sometimes you get tighter bands and those hurt a little more.

Getting braces doesn't hurt. It's the pain afterwards of the teeth shifting into the position the Orthodontist wants them in. You feel sore later on the day you get braces and a few days after, and after every adjustment appointment. Just take Tylonal and eat soft foods for a few days. Just finished my internship at an Ortho Office :)
