  • Are you able to remove the peak? Love the style with out the peak.

  • getting it next friday =]

  • you do my favorite motorcycle gear product reviews on youtube. i'll watch vids of stuff i dont even need just because i find your videos entertaining

  • what head shape does this suit? i wear a shoei XR1100(RF1100 for you guys) and i was thinking of getting one of these in the future but not sure about the fit.

  • pimp videos, subscribed!

  • what would you call the style of this helmet?? to look for similar different brands? Icon is the shit for sure but 390 is a kinda steep. I got my fulmer evil spell for 120 and it's on it's 3rd year no problems still fits tight and cools me so it's not stank up by sweat. good video tho bro

  • Im getting mine today! For 70 bucks! Its only missing the visor, but im pretty sure I can get one!

  • Awesome helmet, but WOW is the shield replacement SO not conventional. No way I'm going through that visor change from day to night more than once a year. Just so not practical. More of a "play" helmet than everyday use. Probably still get one though.

  • i really like the look of this helmet, its a shame you cant get these helmets in my country, in fact you cant get any icon gear here.

  • @nanahc Don't let that stop you, we ship internationally every day

  • @nanahc

    china?

  • @ko4eryjkin no i live in New Zealand. you can get some icon gear here but only motocross stuff, even then i havnt seen much.

  • Thanks again STG, as per the Icon Hooligan Etched jacket I have ordered this in to Sydney, Australia. I love the urban street assault look and first saw it on YouTube in 'Downshift83's' videos. Peace.

    P.S. No squidding!

  • I have an HJC CL 16 n now that I've used it for about 1 year it kinda has a loose fit. The same is said that it fits loose. My HJC is sm should I purchase the icon variant in x- sm?

  • @0600Brenda Based on that I would suggest going with the X-Small

  • thats smart!

  • "Im going to ride in one of these believe it or not, on the racetrack, 'cause i think its pimp"

My favorite line I have ever heard from Brian. I will now buy this helmet from this site PURELY because of this line...also because its fucking awesome...but thats beside the point

  • @JonesSAYS What can I say I am a BIG ICON FAN!

  • This guy is so intense LOL I wish they reviewed vacuum cleaners and computers like this.

  • @dpaanlka What can I say I love my job!

  • @Sportbiketrackgear I'm jealous. I love your reviews and I love the enthusiasm for sure. In fact, this review has convinced me to buy this helmet as soon as I get some money. And I am going to purchase from your website. I wish I had a job like this!

  • @SoLoSuperman13 Thank you and we look forward to working with you when you are ready!

  • @Sportbiketrackgear No problem. I love the fact that you are all actual riders and racers and you sell the products you use. Be ready for a Icon Variant Black Salvo order to KS :)

  • Because I think it PIMP!!! lol

  • richard machowicz's big brother ^^^^

  • cool story bro

  • Great review as always.

Very cool looking helmet, but that visor system looks like it could be improved to say the least. Compared to the Bell star release system, this looks like an overly complicated design.

  • What speed is comfortable for this hemlet with peak?

  • @vova1055 I wore this on the race track at Barber in AL. Had zero issues down the straights

  • this guy is Freakin INTENSE about this helmet!!! ICON HELMETS, F!@K YA

  • @brandocr250 Hard not to be. The Variant is bad ass for sure

  • Is the peak removable in any way without braking it?

  • @Strangertothepublic Yes it is removable. It is held on partially with two sided tape which would need replacing if you are reusing the peak.

  • Comment removed

  • @Strangertothepublic Thank you for the reply. Keep up the good work.

  • is the liner removable and washable?

  • @Cookies205 Yes it is removable and washable

  • @Sportbiketrackgear yea lol figured that out after watching the vid. Love your vids btw, very helpful.

  • Great looking helmet but that visor change is enough to make me look at other models, considering I do change visors quite often.

  • My size is Large on Shoei.. What will it be on this helmet? Im interested on that helmet..

  • The complicated shield changing is a big downer for me. It would be cool to get a blacked out or mirrored lens, and it would look as cool as shit. But with that its a big hassle. Taking 5 minutes to change a shield? I would just keep a clear lens on this one, and the black one on my Airframe, if I get this lid. If I didn't have spare helmets, I wouldn't consider this helmet. Sunday riders maybe...

  • stg does the most in depth reviews

  • @freesmells Thanks!

  • how much does it weigh?

  • cool review...probably my next helmet

  • hows the noise on it on the highway?

  • @maddog2222 Nothing out of the ordinary on the track with ear plugs in. Not sure on the street as I have not ridden in it on the street yet.

  • daat caam

  • Thanks for the vid, you made my decision to buy this helmet easier!

  • @rose14x You are welcome!

  • lol all i need is a suit and i can fight the flood on a motorcycle

  • Comment removed

  • will u plz do a icon hooligan represent helmet review. i saw the jaket but have not seen the helmet. than you

  • I wear a large in pretty much any helmet ive owned,,including the icon airframe...So in my case are you suggesting a medium in the variant ?

Also if time permitted,, It would be cool and helpful to see other available colors when you do your reviews, just a thought..I know youve done it in the past, but not always... Sometimes its tough to find solid and reliable vids on here and thats why I usually check you guys out whenever im looking for some new gear reviews...

    Peace

  • Your guys rock. Thanks so much for these reviews. Love the Halo look.

  • Brian,

Great review, I actually got a chance to try on this helmet at the Chicago Int. Motorcycle show put on by CycleWorld. And you were spot on w/ the sizing; I were a medium in the Domain II and the medium in this was too big, but the small was just right! Felt great, and I'm really beginning to love the look of this helmet. Any updates on what you think of it after wearing it yourself out riding/racing?

  • So how loud is this helmet under normal freeway speeds?

  • I want the helmet, but 390 is to much for icon helmet, I'll wait for a sale or price drop.

  • icon has increased there standards quite alot in recent years. i would not look at 360$ alot for an icon product.

  • would't mind that helmet ... but icon is not very big in the UK infact.. i have never seen any Icon gear here at all. I'm sure there must be somewhere but i donno.

  • def. needs gold chrome shields

  • ohh yea

  • the price is the only thing holding me back from getting it

  • It looks like the helmet from Halo.... cool.. can you get a gold mirror wind screen?

  • @icharm425 Yes, on the Icon Website

  • @icharm425 Yes You can!!! Ebay

  • @icharm425 Yeah totally. matt green and gold mirror wind screen.. that would be EPIC :D

  • CLEAN HELMET...i dont know if i can do 400 bucks tho...

  • Wow awesome. Took the suggestion! I LOVE STG

  • wats the point.....

  • The point is this is a cool helmet with a very unique look. The peak will be nice to block some sun as well. ICON does a fantastic job of blending fashion and protection IMO. They often times get riders who may not otherwise wear gear to do so. All good IMO. I have an ICON Race Suit, 2 ICON helmets (love my Alliance SSR Represent Detroit) and 1 ICON jacket.
