I have many many hours of recordings of cowboy music and no one else can begin to reach Dave's level. He's better than all the others put together, and I'm talking about some great musicians. If I had the money I'd just travel around following him so I could see him perform again and again. I feel SO LUCKY to have discovered him and his music.
I have been in love with Dave's music ever since first hearing him (sing "Uncle Harvey's Plane" by Roger Miller) at the Vinton, CA Cowboy Poetry show many years ago. I nearly fell off my chair, I was laughing so hard. Met him after the show and really enjoyed his, "Thank you, Mam" in our short conversation even tho I usually hate it when others call me Mam. It's just the "cowboy way!" He's coming back to Vinton again in Sept. 2009...CAN"T WAIT!!
I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting Dave at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS recently. He is truly a riveting performer, a natural on guitar, and a composer to be reckoned with--his "Mountains of the Heart" is a masterpiece of visual imagery as well as one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Looking forward to hearing Dave again, anytime, anywhere......he's one of my favorite artists now.
I had the privledge of riding with Dave and Mellisa for 2 days in July. Not only a great writer and singer - they are just a great pair. Thanks for the memories Dave.
I've been a huge fan of this man for 12 years. First heard him on the radio when I was sittin' in the Cuyama Buckhorn Saloon. Had to see him, hear him and LOVE his music & song writing. Thank you Dave.

We saw you last fall at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. You are FABULOUS!!!!!! My husband purchased your Tonopah CD and he literally plays it every day. He's become a Dave Stamey want-to-be. We were sad to see your schedule doesn't include Branson this year. Maybe next year??? Yesterday I ordered your lastest CD. Can't wait to get it. Love & Prayers, The Phillips
Dave Stamey the best Singin' Cowboy...well next to my cute husband Michael that is!
Congratulations Dave you hit the Big Time! Next is the Big Screen!
Been a nice many years since 1998 hearing your beautiful songs. Always a pleasure and something exciting to look forward to! Thank you for sharing your gift!
Great video of one of my favorite western entertainers. I first heard Dave Stamey sing "If I Had a Horse" at the Western Music Association Festival in Albuquerque, NM in 2006. I've loved it ever since.
He's also a nice guy. That's as important to me as his good entertainment.
I'm taken back to my childhood; to when my dad was alive. This man is truly a genius!
