One correction, Russia in all likelyhood would side with China should the need arise. Partially due to its common communist history, even today many Chinese officials work in Russia and vice versa. The advantage of a communist system is that it dosen't have to absolutly transparent to the world.

Also, China alone is a much stronger force than many countries combined.
