Skatepark that....parks are good, but you can't beat street skateboarding, only a skater can understand....whenever I hear non skaters say that we should only be in parks that kind if pisses me off because they're shooting us in the foot bigtime, if there are a bunch of parks, peoples tolerance for street skating will DECLINE.

I agree with you to a point. You shouldn't skate in an area where you can hit people coming out of stores. Same can be said with bikes. However, I have not personally seen anybody arrested just for skateboarding. Usually, there is another reason for them getting arrested.

robert, skatebording saved my life. It was my way of dealing with shit in high school. Yes later, now, it is more then a hobby its a lifestyle. I still use skateboarding as a outlet, but most of all skateboarding is fun.

I mean the skateboarders do put other people in danger, but what really needs to be done is designate a skateboard park or area at ALL public parks.

Second; you do not see the problem letting Skateboarders Operate on busy sidewalks (retail, commercial areas of a city. Skateboarders have no business in these places it is to dam dangerous for the Skateboarders and every one else.

It not just the cost insurance as far as the retail it is the fact some of the S Bs think it is exciting and fun to scary the people around them. So the people that are being accosted complain to the owners about the Skateboarders . The owners know if the customers get pissed enough the customers will go else where and take there friends with them.

There is a way to fix the problem but I bet you and most of the S Bs are to lazy to fix the problem. It is called parks. Organize and get petition to get the park dep. To build neighborhood parks that have Skateboard faculties.
