  • Longer than many marriages...lol.

  • Nice looking package, I think they offer a good product. Good for them. However I wish the R-Spec would have been a built V6 to help with MPG, car weight, price, etc. This car needs to be $33,000 range to attract a bigger market share. Because honestly I can't imagine a Hyundai that is over $35k. If you disagree with me, keep it to your self. I couldn't care less. This is just my opinion right now.

  • He's right about the rental, I bought my 2008 Elantra after driving one from a body shop loaner.

  • Great car...these Hyundai Genesis is getting to be very popular with the Country Club set down in Florida. Many of them have become discerning in their life style changes as Bernie Madoff made off with their money. That's why they are now more discerning in their automobile choice as their net worths took a big hit. Also, they have become more discerning in their choice of financial advisors. The Hyundai Genesis is one fine looking automobile.

  • Beautiful car and a performer on top of that. Hats off to Hyundai for putting together a world class luxury/ performance car that competes and in most cases beats the high end German / English entries in this class.

  • Get tired of the test..we know already its nice car ..please no more..

  • this is the 1st super car made by hyndai, really gonna trust this car???

  • Seems like a nice car -- lots of "bang for the buck". But this video sucks: where's the test drive?

  • $35 for an Ipod cable? -.-

  • @NOZblast2 lol....well they gotta make money right xD....ipod cable cost 5 dollar....thats 30 bucks profit xD

  • The Hyundai haters really can't say anything anymore! Hyundai/Kia is making better and more appealing cars than Toyota.

  • @surethang27 i couldn't agree more. Just compare the 2012 toyota corola to a 2012 Honda civic....they look the same! The headlights/ front end look suspiciously siminalr. What hell is happening to the other auto makers?? Its as if they're becoming more and more generic!! For that reason i'd rather drive a Hyundai

  • @surethang27 I agree! But I think I'd have to throw Honda in that comment as well as Toyota.

  • I got my dad to buy this car over LS, you just can't beat the price for the features and quality. The 3.8 v6 is very powerful, you do NOT need the V8 unless you want a ton of acceleration over 100mph. The 3.8 v6 is about 330hp and there is no hesitation at all. The car handles very very well too. The features for the price is just ridiculous. I recommend both premium and tech package; you'll want the 17 Lexicon speakers and 6 disc dvd 8" nav.

  • They tell me this Genesis is going over big down in Fort Lauderdale to Miami, Many of those people don't have the big bucks anymore to shell out for Lexus 460's as Bernie Madoff inflicted big time damage on their net worths. And these people are wise and discerning when it comes to vehicles. And now they tell me they're even more discerning when it comes to choosing financial advisors.

  • there's a few of these R specss already on ebay from Hyundia dealers for $42 grand,so shop around.

  • how much is this car

  • The test drive is in my hometown ...Charleston, SC

  • i bet they took the 5.0L engine from ford, and did some work to make it theirs

  • @bmwrocks325 No they didn't. It's actually the engine from the EQUUS...

  • @bmwrocks325 R u retarded? Don't say shit if you are gonna make shit up.

  • @bmwrocks325 Hyundai make their own engines. Also, direct injection engines are considered to be pretty rare and you can only find them on expensive cars like Porsches.

  • Damn is it always bumpy and humpy in the US

  • 16/25 that's better than most cars with 400+ hp.

  • @SagaraSouske one thing i noticed hyundais numbers are inflated compared to real world results.

  • @immortal4942 I think you are wrong. Care to back up your claim with some actual data? All the dyno results I've seen for Hyundais have fallen right in the ballpark of the printed specs.

  • love this car. it will make the other sleeprs as good as v6 :)

  • slow compared to what? this is a luxury sedan a little over 4000lbs...........other vehicles in the luxury sedan class all clock around that time

  • pretty decent mpg's but the 0-60 time is kinda slow

  • @bkvintagecorp Slow compared to what? There's no car in its class that can hit its price point ($47K) with all of its features/amenities and come anywhere close to R-Spec performance. A BMW 550i *starts* at $60K and that's before you start adding options to match the Hyundai, which bumps its price to $69K. That's a $22K premium!

  • @acoga I would say this car compares more closely to the 535i in terms of performance. The 550i would straight dust this thing. So the premium comes down a bit, but is still 5 figures...

  • @THUNDERA57 bmw 550i has 4.4 V8 twinturbo with only 400hp

goes 0-60 in 5.2 secs, its slower than this

this genesis has 5L V8 GDI with 429hp

    genesis 5.0 dust 550i

how can you compare this with 535i ?

  • @acoga

Wrong! The SRT8 twins from Chrysler/Dodge (300/Charger) both trounce the Genesis R-Spec in most performance categories along with offering more advanced standard features and technology and the base price is only $47,170!

  • @TheBjjones

Yeah, but it's a bailed out Chrysler!!! POS!!

  • @TheBjjones The SRT-8's were meant to be muscle sedans with aggressive styling and psycho lines and bad handling. The Genesis 5.0 was made to be a subtle luxury high performer.

  • @acoga

what you say makes sense.. but in the end of the day a BMW is the way to go.

  • @bkvintagecorp how is that slow. its faster then a bmw 750i
