I had zero respect for this corps after this season, and especially after this. It's a good thing they've gotten better, especially after taking it on the chin from the Cadets this year. BD is still working on winning back my respect, but they've come a long way from 08.
@ClearBlackWater Crown's lead sops can't scream worth shit. Case in point, '09. They had to have all their leads play during Puck One what one BD lead sop could've done effortlessly.
Why was there one band in the middle just moving around like they don't care? Is that the Blue Devils? 'Cause I don't even know any of them, and have never seen them perform and they just lost all respect I COULD'VE had for them.

I'm 90% positive they would have played this song before scores. Almost. idk. All of the DCI retreats i've been in we've done the big song before the scores. Was it different this year, 2008?

it could've been both. the trumpet on the blue knights video didnt hold that last note as long as one of the trumpets in this video, which sounded like it was coming from the blue devils, considering BK was on the far end of the field
I'm pretty sure the DM's are conducting to Phantom Regiment considering both are pointing towards the corp in total white and the fact that the Drum majors wore blue capes during their show.

@deathkinglord You're right. BD might have a bad reputation, but I've always liked the fact that they are intense and just take the corps would seriously. SOmetimes, that puts they're shows as being too judge-oriented, but people have to remembert that a few shows don't make a corps. FOrever, people said BD were crowd pleasers. I personally, loved 1930, and that was just 2009. 2010 was a little hard to catch onto, but one bad year a corps does not make. If tat was the case, Cadets, BAC

A lot of corps have bad show years, but the fact that BD has one every few and still win, or are never below the top 3, says alot. And I think the corps that was "mad" was Blue Knights. Typical! I marched with a girl who was in Freelancers. She said that Devils all have "tudes" And i saw some other crap at Allentown in the late 70's that turned me off of the organization but i still like the music...
Now that we've rectified the issue and found the correct corps to blame.....honestly, who gives a fuck? The people making the biggest deal out of this are people who haven't slept on gym floors and pushed through 3 months of near non-stop slave labor, whether they were sick, sore, etc. No one except Phantom, SCV, and Cadets takes retreat seriously. The only thing members care about is having a little fun before ending the season, getting through retreat, and then going back home to normal lives.
@CVSoprano The reason I joined corps was so I could further my marching career and have fun while doing it. If I wanted to be rock hard and stone faced, I would have joined the military...I'm not saying I'm one of those people who screw up retreat. In fact, I never have.

well Bd had changed in 04 beacsue they think the gonna win in 04 05 06 and 07 they step up and the won 08 they kinda slip but 09 10 they were undefeted
@Jambando i marched the 2010 season. and i definitely remember the cadets beating them early season, and then bd came off 3 rehearsal days and 3 pointed everybody the entire season.
@tacos931s I marched BD 07-10. I remember every loss from those 4 years. In 07 we lost 2 times to SCV, once to Bluecoats, once to Cavies, and 2 times to Cadets. In 08 we lost to Cavies and Phantom once. For all of 09-10 we did not lose a single show.

@Bootscv11 actually all the corps were playing i believe, and they just played some extra crap in there. Its all fun & games ya know, its a competition. if they dont want them messing with each others music and finale's then dont bother calling it a competition.

@cwis0chan I have no clue. I guess some people really don't understand this, and they decide to get hammered literally right after their finals performance. But yes, I watched DCI 2008 Retreat - Revelation and that just proves what I've been telling people for awhile - that it was BK mostly.

@deathkinglord You're right. BD might have a bad reputation, but I've always liked the fact that they are intense and just take the corps would seriously. SOmetimes, that puts they're shows as being too judge-oriented, but people have to remembert that a few shows don't make a corps. FOrever, people said BD were crowd pleasers. I personally, loved 1930, and that was just 2009. 2010 was a little hard to catch onto, but one bad year a corps does not make. If tat was the case, Cadets, BAC

@deathkinglord and any other corps that has had an off year can say that. A lot of corps have bad show years, but the fact that BD has one every few and still win, or are never below the top 3, says alot. And I think the corps that was "mad" was Blue Knights. I'm not sure, and I don't know why, but they were classless, and didnt even medal. Just shows how some people have no respect for the sport.

The blue devils are like the other high school in my town. Very good but if they font win they're sore losers and show out. Also the mass corps is playing America the beautiful if a corps is going to mess around why pick a song that's about they're country in which they take for granted?? Just sayin

Typical! I marched with a girl who was in Freelancers. She said that Devils all have "tudes" And i saw some other crap at Allentown in the late 70's that turned me off of the organization but i still like the music...

Now that we've rectified the issue and found the correct corps to blame.....honestly, who gives a fuck? The people making the biggest deal out of this are people who haven't slept on gym floors and pushed through 3 months of near non-stop slave labor, whether they were sick, sore, etc. No one except Phantom, SCV, and Cadets takes retreat seriously. The only thing members care about is having a little fun before ending the season, getting through retreat, and then going back home to normal lives.

@CVSoprano The reason I joined corps was so I could further my marching career and have fun while doing it. If I wanted to be rock hard and stone faced, I would have joined the military...I'm not saying I'm one of those people who screw up retreat. In fact, I never have.

@charliebsn Heh.. you're wrong dude. The way they line up Finals retreat is the one who came first the night before in the center, next to second. They sit on either side of the 50. If you haven't marched, don't talk.

well Bd had changed in 04 beacsue they think the gonna win in 04 05 06 and 07 they step up and the won 08 they kinda slip but 09 10 they were undefeted

@Jambando i marched the 2010 season. and i definitely remember the cadets beating them early season, and then bd came off 3 rehearsal days and 3 pointed everybody the entire season.

@tacos931s I marched BD 07-10. I remember every loss from those 4 years. In 07 we lost 2 times to SCV, once to Bluecoats, once to Cavies, and 2 times to Cadets. In 08 we lost to Cavies and Phantom once. For all of 09-10 we did not lose a single show.
