My problem here is,..... I thought i could make a little money on my discarded aluminum, Now here we have a machine so big i wouldnt want it my garage, It uses as much elecrticity as it makes on profit,

and lastly, with the Cost and Time invested to build it, and the energy bill to run it, it's a lose/lose as a profit-maker/space-waster!

@mageac One must be crazy to drink couple a hundred a day. If it`s in a mass amount of cans we are talking about, then there shall be a mass can crusher invented . With the can crusher in this video, you will be needing a full time worker just to place a can in the crusher.

Purpose it to get more cash for scrap and reduce space. In my area in Ontario Canada they pay us more per lb of aluminum if they are crushed. I just dont see the point here. the cost of electricity and only one can at a time seems to be un productive.

Why not put a hopper on it? Crush more than one at a time, while keeping your fingers out of harms way. You could hinge the hopper aswell, just incase you need to clear jams or clean it.

haha now it needs a feeder on top that you can just load a bunch in at a time and keep it going constantly. I saw a gas engine one once it used a piston I think or something looked like one.
