@legoman111111 , I have 4.2L V6 f-150 and i removed the cats and put a cold air intake and it can do exactly what this guy did in the video. I think this video is of a 4.2L f150, listen to the tone of it. A 5.4L without cats sounds way different, like a ford GT or a camed mustang. Removing the cats on a v6 f150 will make it sound like a cammed v8 but at hiugh rpms you can still tell its a 6. Hope this helps.

@edwardsm2009 5.4L... No cats, plus long tubes ...uncapped of course. and if you cant tell the difference between a v6 and a v8 with our without exhaust then you need to check your hearing. Theres another video of it with the exhuast bolted up.... see if your super sonic hearing can tell the diff.

i dont know why you would do any of that since it decreases performance. thats why im guessing just some kind of full race cam. i know that sohc engines dont typically sound like that

Cams dont decreases power man all depends on the aplication on what your tryin to acheave  NA motor there really not worth 500bucks just for 50hp and 80 tq

Fored induction is like 80 rear wheel and 100tq well my cams im puttin in my HD are at least...

cams in modular motors dont do alot like they would in push rod motor but they still add power and have diffrent cams ranges...

and its all in the tune if you want it to cam loab.

i said that cams increase power... and yes it depends on lobes. removing vacuum hoses or getting rid of maf will decrease power.
