Having worked at a plant where CNC-machines were made, I wonder how much these machines weigh and how much dead weight (i.e. black granite) is used to stabilize the machine.
i can't even start to imagine how one would create a machine like this that would remain stable.. nevermind using dead weight to stabilize the entire machine, how do you stop the moving parts from shaking around?
does any one know which company is the largest machine tool manufacturer in japan? im guessng its mazak but i am just curious to know who it is...

Matsuura seems to be the fastest in working big chunks of metal with 5 axis. That's... just, WOW!

Hello Zak,
I am not sure which package was used on this - my colleagues in Japan put this together. I have asked & will let you know.
The carburetor - yes it is a real one & yes it was done from solid.
I will be posting vids of these 2 in more detail next week.
Thanks for the comments.

What Cad programme was used for the mini engine - done the LXo machine?
Is it from solid? Also the carburetor on the cublex machine - is it a real one? If so, what is it used on? Was that job done from solid?
Please post videos of these 2 in more detail! Thanks for the vids.
