  • @DiamantDogma Maybe you are searching for Gregorian and Ambrosian Chant. (but this piece is orchestral) In fact, this takes the two first verses of the Dies Irae chant, composed by Tomás Celano, biographer of Saint Francis of Assisi.

  • @DiamantDogma i think its in the category; EPICMUSICWEALLLOVE

  • i found the series though this song on a random playlist looking for something to listen to. i never regretted it!

  • I'll take a potato chip... and eat it!

    "Quantus tremor est futurus!

    Quando judex est venturus!"

  • i love ALL the Wammys ='( DAMN you Light Yagami... killing all but 1

    I miss L D':

  • KIRA FOR PRESIDENT.... or god...is the same damn thing xD

  • Lawence L Lawliet

  • I prefered the story arc with Near in it, I prefer Near as a character tbh. It was stupid killing L off so soon though D:

  • at least after l's death, death note should have ended with a win for light...

  • where did you download this? and thank you for the lyrics :D

  • nessbeal certifié classique

  • DUDE!! Thanks for the translation!!! This is one of my favorite songs and it was killing me cause I didn't know what they were saying!!!

  • Opening melody is straight from O Fortuna practically. Song's a decent recreation of Orff's style.

  • Clearly took from Carl Orff. At least it's still an original enough tune.

  • Inspired by O Fortuna, obviously. The opening is too blatant. But the rest of the song seems original enough. Then again, I don't listen to much of Carl Orff.

  • Clearly inspired by "O Fortuna" but I wish the opening wasn't such a rip. At least it redeems itself in the second half. Or I could be mistaken and that too could be another rip.

  • Clearly inspired by O Fortuna. Just wish the opening wasn't such a rip. At least it redeems itself with originality in the second half. Or I could be mistaken and that too could be another Orff rip.

  • Clearly inspired, if not ripped straight from, O Fortuna Just wish the opening wasn't such a knockoff. At least it redeems itself with originality in the second half. Or I could be mistaken and that too could be another Orff knockoff.

  • This is AWESOME!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA "evil laugh!" :P

  • wow not the best thing to listen to while in the middel of the night with head phones XD

  • @BeCAUSEBExx it is for me, but im not a fearful person =D

  • hmm its sounds a little bit like corvus corax

  • The Best!

  • light is nut

  • One of the best versions of Dies Irae

  • The whole series it was L vs K, for what L did for ever haunted and caused anguish for K and ultimately his demise.

Near was just an embodiment of L's accomplishments.

This is a boom song btw.

  • Near was very different from L. Though L was certainly a better investigator when it came to dealing with poeple, Near was just as ruthless as Light. To him, it was all just a test, one big game. And you know what he said. "If you can't win the game, if you can't beat the puzzle... Then you're just a loser."

  • you feel very smart if you understand there logical thinking right?

i do xD i watched this no 2 times and therea re still parts which confuse me xDDDDDDDDD

  • As for this song....It should use ALL the Lyrics of the Dies Irae poem, and that way it could have a duration of at least 7 minutes, but its great anyway.

  • Fuck all of you who mess with Near and Mello. Yes L was better but he FAILED. Near and Mello, separate are less better than L, but together, they surpass him. Prove of this is the fact that they actually defeated Kira.

  • @zxscd Well there was Mikami's and Takada's mistakes...not to mention Mello "realized" that they had to work together in the end...Near is one lucky bastard.

  • Buen video

  • Death note has truley earned the right to be named as one of the best animes

  • sounds a bit like ssbb music lol

But deathnote is the only anime which made me smarter :D

  • gostei

  • This song rocked, I loved the scenery of the 4 1/2 years time skip.

But after that the anime started to go down. I mean, there were stupid stuff like a random mafia group using a ROCKET, wtf???

  • i want the picture at 1:43!

  • whats the name of this song?

  • It's the fight of two powers, deciding the fate of the world. Light versus L. This epic theme fits the anime perfectly. Probably the greatest thing ever animated. Death Note is more than an anime; it's a masterpiece.

  • Who would have thought that such an awesome song would be the theme for such an awesome anime.

  • This is the most epic song of all time that ever was, is, or will be in the history of the universe.

  • light gave it away in the end i though he was smart

  • Deceiving the police for years is nothing to look down on.

  • @minilogshannon near won because 1.) mello captured takada to cooperate with near. 2.) mikami made a move because of this and revealed the real notebook. 3.) from 1 and 2, near is one lucky bastard. Light didn't make a mistake in the end. However, if Mikami was really the type to do such then made a mistake in choosing Mikami in the first place, but he didn't make mistakes "in the end"

  • They wanted to end the show fast, dunno why..Or the writer was bored..I could accept light losing but not being so easily outsmarted. And they should make a bigger reference to L at least. He was much more intelligent in my opinion than any of the chars of Death note, with Light being slightly behind,he even khew he would die from a shinigami before be was killed:P I didnt really like Near in the end:S

  • What's the name of this song?

  • DEATH NOTE THEME SONG

  • Light IS GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Death Note Eps after Ryuuzaki's death were awesome.

The Eps "Kira vs L" were GODLIKE.

  • @DXTinho Indeed, Near was great but as light said "nothing compared to L!" Hahaha

  • Spoiler!! I think that l and Kira for a second season should be revivied by out smarting a god or find a revive note, that b tight

  • @BlakeXsniper death eraser was in the manga pilot but not in the series...but that would be interesting :-bd

  • I think the series was well put out but it would be nice if their was a second season. Spoiler!..

  • @BlakeXsniper I think the Near and Mello arc counts as a second season...sort of. You know, in the manga, there's this "C-Kira" part that sorta counts as a continuation

  • The true fight was Kira (light) vs. L (lawliet) ... Near sucks

  • they shoulda done Near first THEN L am i right

  • @ndogkik But if L was second then, as Light said, "he would've suspected a fake notebook from the very beginning"

Kira still loses but better storyline so :-bd

  • @ndogkik right, right

  • @ndogkik

nah if they make near first then L the anime shpould suck in first place......

    what about l's twin brother??or l rebirth ....hehe...xD

  • @ndogkik I'll agree with you the moment you can explain how this would work.

  • @darkrequiem0 ok they bring Near in first because cause hes smart but he fails then they bring the GENIUS in and L catches light ...perfect sence

  • @ndogkik The problem with your brilliant logic here being that they wouldn't have brought in Near would it not have been for L dying. Near was a sheltered orphan with no way to confront anybody, much less Kira.

Besides, he wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as he did were it not for the information that L had gathered. And Kira would have won were it not for Near taking the torch. How would he have done that if Kira had already beat him?

  • @Wolfang44 Near sucks because...he won? And L lost and died?

  • No, L knew that Light was Kira, but he havent evidences about it

  • yeah near sucks balls

  • lawliet??

  • @Wolfang44 you just got accustomed to L to not give Near a chance. You fail to realize that Kira slipped up in watching his adversaries movements and therefore Near struck. L most likely would have done the same had he not been killed by the man/girl shinigami :3

  • @Wolfang44 LOLITA NOT LAWLIET

  • @Dasconscripts, Its Lawliet.

  • @Dasconscripts Either you're a troll or incredibly stupid. Here:

Read the stuff in this motherfucking link, his name is Lawliet, not Lilota, that's a fucking girl's name. Moronic son of a bitch.

  • @Dasconscripts His name is L Lawliet

  • @Dasconscripts what drug are you on??? *facepalm* his name is LAWLIET!

  • Now, I need to know this. What do you guys think which theme is better, this one or the theme in the first episode when Light was killing criminals? I was thinking about this for a very long time and I simply can't decide, they're both fascinating!!!! Please answer me as soon as you see this comment, I really MUST know what's your opinion!!

  • @TheWinterOrchid

You mean this or Low Of Solipsism?

    Low of Solipsism. lol.

  • Thank you for replying, you really are a buddy. Anyone else?

  • @TheWinterOrchid killing criminals

  • @TheWinterOrchid The "Low of Solipsism" Soundtrack?

  • Just watch me L, I'll solve equations with my right hand, and write names with my left. I'll take a potato chip... and EAT!!!!

  • Wow ;D

  • day of the wrath that day will solve the centuries in ashes with witnes david and the sibyl. How much tremor there will be when the judge come investigating everything so strictly.

    It has no other name

    Checked from Wikipedia

  • "death note theme" eheheh

  • This guys work is the only former Nazi who I can ignore. Its just so good. Its scary. Especially when you think of who it was written about and by, it really tells the history of the time they were in and what they were thinking.

And yes, its perfectly epic for Deathnote.

  • O_O creepy lyrics

  • You have some really good pics ( where'd you get the one at 1:45 ? ) but the vid needs some work.

  • GREAT VIDEO!^^

  • this song really fits the anime...

yay, death note all the way...

    I HATE NEAR!!!!!

hahaha, i watch the anime first before the manga that is why, i felt like a lot of things are missing. but when i started reading the manga and the last volume, no. 13, it really is fantastic.

    ive learned that L is a liar...hahaha,

well, as said by tsugumi ohba himself and so does near.

its really nice, and i had a good laugh too....

    death note forever...

  • hm.... If you go crazy about this I wonder how much you would laugh if you were in Latin class

  • probably a lot XD

  • niiiice!

  • what version it is?

wich group or chord play and sing it?

  • God version of Dies Irae, but still prefere the original gregorian version

  • like Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" - O Fortuna..

but really good for "Death Note"s atmosphere..

  • I had the same "Carmina Burana feeling" at the begining, but it's still a quite good music ^_^

  • Yay, I'm not the only one that thinks this! =D

  • Lol! me too!!!!
