this song was a song that no matter how crazy the moss pit got my son conor and i always found each other in it to hug and sing. conor died on jan 5 2009 at the age of 18 and now the lyrics are tattooed on me as his memory is in my mind , forever. this was a beautiful tribute to your dad.

Where did all of these mellow re-makes of DKM songs come from? I heard a ballad version of "Fields Of Athenry" they did that I've never heard before and now "Forever" too?

You Can buy that version of forever on Itunes, you just have to go on the Itunes store and put Dropkick Murphys in the box. The song is on the Album The Meanest of times deluxe edition (only on itunes) they you just have to pick Forever!
