  • Why play a valve trombone? Just play a euphonium! Trombones are made because of the slide. Not valves!!!!

  • Wow that's a unique looking trombone :D

  • its not a trombone

  • @skitzo429 I know its called aCimbasso(Verdi) but it is a bass rotary valve trombone, I always thought the player was sitting . The bell is smaller than I thought. They are not totally in tune with each other. maybe the organ needs tuning,or the Cimbasso's 5th harmonic is by nature bit low.

I wonder if it is in G F or Eb?

  • @valvetrom uaually should 3 more valves for the left hand

  • organ needs to take it a level or two down

he must think its his recital

  • The horn thingy is flat most of the time 8(

  • yeahhhhhh i dont understand how they can't tell!!

  • @sautezFort Probably cold. But its the first video I ever found of it. Could be a great jazz instrument, agil and strange sounding ,not as fat as a tuba.

  • Boy, that is a different sound there. I need me one of these.

  • Yes, it's a very different sound if you compare it to the new cimbasso model.

I played a original italian cimbasso "Cazzani" from the end of the XIX century.

The bore it's very small like a trumpet, only 15 mm.

  • Why does everything sound flat!?

  • brzmi jakby stary muł podrywał jaskółkę jednocześnie srając

  • Yes, I know what you mean!

  • uotis cimballo?

  • Bravo!

  • weird instrument
