  • ....what was he being fed at 0:09

  • he was a great man. RIP my dear, dear friend

  • what a sick fuck he was

  • @James25H no, he wasn't a 'sick fuck'. i have cystic fibrosis too, and i know what it means to want to live life to the full and experience different things. that means different things to different people. i wouldn't do what Bob did, but S&M is what interested him. its what he enjoyed. and i personally think that the fact he didnt let CF stop him from doing what he wanted it awesome, not sick. to many people, he's inspirational. dont judge what you dont know.

  • I have CF, and like him BDSM is my emotional therapy. I don't know what it is, but there are a lot of us who turned to S&M as emotional therapy. Maybe it's because we grew up turning pain into pleasure, and never being in control.

As well, there are also a lot in the CF community who don't use this as an outlet, I don't speak for everyone. Even if you have CF, we aren't all going to fight it in the same way.

He fought sickness with sickness, and you can't judge, even if you've been there.

  • i want him to fuck me :^)

  • Because he always took it as a man.

  • Yeah.... give me a break. Eating shit off a spoon and drinking piss from a baby bottle has NOTHING to do with cystic fibrosis.

  • @hehfilms haha, be my slave >:D LOL

  • i have cystic fibrosis.. and S&m is great fun. i didn't even know of Bob until i joined the lifestyle..

  • will always love ya, Bob!

  • RIP Bob ;-)

  • good 4 U Bob,U crazy bastard....R.I.P!!!!!!

  • Bob was also a great artist. I had the pleasure of meeting him twice & spent a few hours in conversation, while he lived in the New Museum, during his show there in the late 90's. His work is funny, poignant, revelatory, brave and that of a true craftsman. What I remember about him the most is how open and compassionate he seemed; just so human, in the best sense of the word. He patiently and candidly answered lots of high school kids's questions about his art, CF and BDSM.

  • Bob Flanagan was a performance artist. He was diagnosed with CF, and new he would be in pain, and would die at an early age. He turned his pain into a pleasure - he became the "supermasochist", and lived much longer than his life expecancey - in fact, he came near to living longer than other CF patient. Take an art history course before you judge.

  • It always makes me confused at peoles need to bash what they don't understand, you might not like it but it worked for him, we as a whole should embrace someones ability to proceed with life in the manner in which suits them best, whether we like it or agreaa with it or not.

  • Actually, you're the idiot. Bob's dead. And this was his therapy.

  • As a parent of a child with CF, of course it's awful he's dead. But his so called "therapy" was not funny. This is called an opinion.

  • @tommybasilio correct

  • he looks a lot like robert downey, jr.

  • I know what an opinion is. And thank you for sharing yours. Flanagan WAS NOT MAKING fun of C.F. How does anyone on this board see his performances as making fun of a terminal illness? If that's how you take it, oh well.

  • @tommybasilio ...what are you talking about? They were just saying he and Robert looked alike.

  • @tommybasilio Agree, he did all that shit to feel alive and to be involved, his body was his art. It's a great doco.

  • I would damn near go straight for this man.

  • What was he drinking at the beginning of the video?

  • i believe it was urine

  • @Gujurarhti I believe it was delicious.

  • Lmao xD

  • 'Courageous' doesn't even do this man justice. His 'Why' poem still brings tears to my eyes. So does his 'Super Masochistic Bob' song, but that's because it's hilarious.

  • This guy is so amazing. My brother has Cf.

  • I love that last shot. He would have been like, the most interesting man to know.

  • Very beautiful.

  • thanx to tommybasilio for these wonderful videos

    =00

  • Glad you like it! And Bob!

  • MY HERO!
