I was there in August. It was my first time seeing the fireworks and it was my girlfriends first time in Disney World period. It was incredible. I actually got teary eyed.

me and my family got there around 9 and stayed until 2:30....17 hours in the magic kingdom and not a second of boredom! did anyone else join the massive dance party in front of the castle?

I would have but the rules of closing the gates at 1 was BS. We were there from Monday morning til Friday night, on new years eve we ran to meet family at the Animal Park, only to find out when we returned to the Magic Kingdom that only on site resort guests and season pass holders were allowed back in. I still would like to know what good the park hopper tickets were for. And it amazed us how the kept selling tickets even after the doors were closed.

Thats nice and all, but why does Disney charge people for a park hopper ticket the day of the event if you can't use it? Almost $50 each for the upgraded tickets and not able to use. MAybe if they would have stopped selling tickets the DAY of the event things would have made more sense. No reason they should still be selling tickets to people at the transpo station if people can't get in.

It did close at 2am! But that is not the latest is has ever closed, MK has been open until 4am before, during summer EMH. I know, I work there. :)

id go just for fireworks. i h8 the big crowds. but then i live in orlando about 1hour from WDW soo if i go during christmas, i go on new years but i had to work last year

There Fantasy in the Sky version is so different than Disneyland they are actually using Imagine... A Fantasy in the Sky from Disneyland So weird but cool i went to Disneyland New Years it was fun but a freak fog moved in but it was still fun and non stop music
