So iPod launch, iPhone launch and now iPad launch event. I finished watching and now I can say. I love apple and RIP Steve Jobs

Have been watching all the major product launches since the iPhone since Steve's death. IMHO the iPod and the iPad were the most significant product launches. The iPad to me truly reinvented mobile computing.

It is funny how much my perspective has changed, I was a bit of an iPad hater. Last year I won one, it has not replaced my Netbook or laptops but it is a fantastic product. I bought my g/f an iPad 2, she loves it, cameras are not used but otherwise it gets used to the max.

@MsMakkapakka it's the speaker, but i agree. usb will probably be available via an external adaptor in a few years.

I would buy it without thinking if i could do my would on it as well as internet and stuff like that. In addition they should have put a camera on it.

man i have an iphone i was a little disapointed when i found out the ipad wouldnt have the camera but i dont care im still getting one mainly because of iwork on it :D

omg, that i useles cuz if thats what it is then just get an ipod. they should have put word, powerpoint ext to make it better

they did, but its just pages, numbers and something else. those are the mac versions of Microsoft office

Right, but the problem with an iPod is its size limits its functionality. Nobody is going to be writing an significant documents or doing any substantial photo editing on that thing.

There is a high quality text editor application in the iPad.

And this thing makes Kindle and Nook look like puny little wastes of money.

Personally, I'm holding off until they release a few more version. I foresee display size expansions and other improvements.

Why even get an iPod anymore? Get this.

okay, i never had the iphone, ipod touch... i kind of like what it does, not thinking about what it cant do... my question is... is it worth the 500~600 dollars? for what it does...?

Insted of making a cheaper notebook, they made an overprice itouch. I would have rather the apple logo on a netbook, too sad.
