It is a matter of control. The easiest & most obvious source of control is through food. When we are babies the most powerful 'weapon' we have against our parents is to refuse food, & from a young age we recongise that not eating is a way to control the people around you.

Anorexia Nervosa is the medical term. And just because you are diagnosed with it, doesn't always mean you will die. It just means your diagnosed. :)

ANorexia is a shortened term for the diease, Anorexia Nervosa.

Just because you have been diagnosed, doesnt mean you'll die. It just means it has been professionally recognised. I've been diagnosed and im still alive...

cool ad. I have an ED dated back since age 8, but have no intention of seeking help any time soon. I also have a history of cutting dated back since age 12, and havent cut for 1 year. I don't believe there is any cure for people who actually have ED's. Theres only maintainace. Like an alcoholic can't be cured. They just need to maintain sobriety, and avoid triggers, learn to cope etc. As with cutting. Though sometimes it isnt so easy.

Do you know what's the difference between male and female? A female can have babies, so the ultimate proof of feminity is being pregnant and giving birth to a healthy baby. Can you have baby? I don't think that a 80 pound woman can have a baby when her own liver is failling... Being that thin is not a sign of feminity, it's a sign of a serious mental illness. It don't even look like a woman body, it look like a body with no gender, no female attribute... a little like an alien would look.

My daughter started daily training in dance at age 8 at a local dance school and at age 11 went to full time vocational ballet school. She danced with the Kirov Ballet in London a few months after that photo was taken and also danced with the English National Ballet at the age of 13.

The copyright lies with the photographer (Paul Millen) and I have given him the 'film's' maker's email address as it's his copyright and he will no doubt email her when he has time.

hmmm I do believe that as her mother I do actually know how old my daughter was when the photo was taken...she was 10 years old...I made the tutu...and it was taken 12 years ago by a professional photographer Paul Millen in Littlehampton West Sussex, England ~ he has the copyright. My daughter went to ballet school at the age of 11 and is now a professional dancer aged 22. so as far as I'm concerned you don't know much about anything let alone what dancers look like

However the only way to prove your case is to provide proof of the copyright, otherwise you have no case whatsoever
