The robot comes preprogrammed with a whole host of different motions, but also includes a fully featured 3D animation environment that allows users to easily create their own motions. No need to be sorry, a friend of mine asked me this too and he has a PhD in robotics!

I can see why you'd ask. Actually the robot was green screened and then the background and foreground from the original video dropped in postproduction. Because the camera was tracking the robot it appears to slide on the floor. Other than that, the robot is doing everything itself.

I will post up a "making of" video (when I have time to edit it) which shows how the robot was programmed and shot.

This is what store fronts will want to put on display "as seen on youtube" for the entire day to attract customers. think 100 fold increase in sales.

Thanks for the comments. This is indeed the same robot as in the Yahoo video. In fact, you recognise some of the moves.

I am currently working with the manufacturer to develop the user interface for the robot and this was a bit of fun during my down time.

I agree the robot is dark against the backdrop, but I wanted to stay as faithful to the original (and excellent) EofD as I could.
