  • HALO.. I WANT TO ASK THAT IF trough and crest is a point or the line .As My teacher told me they are max.pt from equilibrium.

  • @addledoll A crest is the part above the line. It's not a point but a description that you are talking about part of the wave that is curved like a hill. A trough is the part of a wave below the line that is curved down in a "u" shape. The top of the crest is the maximum point above the line. This is called the maximum amplitude. The bottom of the trough is the maximum point below the line and is called the maximum negative amplitude. I hope this helps.

  • @flyingchimp99 Hi. Both water and radio waves are transverse waves so they are just lik the one I am describing. Many waves are transverse. Sound waves are longitudinal. I hope this helps.
