Did they think that this destruction would go unnoticed?! I am for renewable energy, but lets do it right! The costs of high-grading, clearcutting, and other unsustainable practices are clear. Though replanting clearcuts is a step in the right direction, it will not help us regain the loss of species that require old-growth mixed-aged forests to survive. Lets not use the cliche green term to justify the same out-of-date practices that have been stripping our province of forests for decades.

Our government gave these butchers a 15 million dollar grant to do this and evidently, free rein to ignore any and all environmental regulations including preservation of wetlands.
