Great video! This is my favourite track - you just gotta love SUZUKA!

Try no-grip racing (just Google it) for tracks and mods for lots of sims.

I can download and race tracks in GTR2, but none mf my car mods show up! Is this what people have been talking about? All I ever see is the default cars - even though I've put the new cars in the right place (I'm 99.9% sure I have, anyway!).

Does anybody have any idea what's going on?

I'm having the same problem - I've checked all files are in the right places, and the championships/car variants appear in menus but u cant 'see' the car model in menu or showroom and it crashes on loading. Any help much appreciated!

the updated file seems to have all the directories properly updated. but I can't get the cars to load. I even placed the folder into championships-custom. It shows the mod, but no car. and when i load the suzuka track- everything crashes. does this mod work on 1.1 update?

I just tried the link and it works. Make sure you don't have a firewall or other program blocking rapidshare.

Ah, sorry. Make sure that you placed all the files into their correct folders. Instead of extracting them to the main GTR2 folder, extract to a temp folder and place them manually. All the .gdb and .tga files go into the main Gamedata folder, "Sounds" files go into the Sounds/GTR folder, so on and so forth.

I never got why the sounds are the way they are. The only thing that sounds real is the start up and afterwards, it didn't sound like the real thing.

ummm skylines dont have a vq30dett......actually no car does it was never made.....the maxima has a vq30de..a 300zx z32 has a vg30dett...a skyline has either rb25/r26det/dett

The VQ30DETT was what they used in the JGTC Skylines and Zs.

I would suggest placing everything manually instead of extracting the RAR contents directly to your GTR2 folder. There isn't suppose to be a vehicle folder, all the actual car data is in the TEAMS folder. If you need any more help just shoot me a message to my user account on here.

i cant get the mod to work,,,!! i noticed it doesnt have a VEHICLE folder in the WINrar folder... i dunno sucks i wana drive the mod

There's separate audio files for startup and idle through the rpm range. That's just the way Simbin designed the game.  I don't know if there's a way to have a seamless audio file that would incorporate both at the same time. I'm not modder of the game myself.

Thanks! This particular mod comes with a JGTC NSX as well but I've had more fun driving the Skyline. My PC I built several years ago and is a bit dated but still gets the job done: Single-Core AMD Athlon 64, 1GB DDR, eVga 6800GS all on an Asus A85NX mobo.
