It was nice seeing combofiend dropping combo's in the beginning of the video, shows that he actually works on his stuff. People only see the end results and never see how much work people actually have to put in to be at the level they are at.

whats the name of the Strange/Modok/Stryder player? Hes so siiick, the best player of them of all imo. Mostly because he's using low health risky chars and not relyin in BnB combos with Xfactor. Lamest player of the room: Killer Kai. This game should reward risky players, I mean.. MODOK wtf at least gave them more health. I like Combofiend, but his chars are really cheap, Spencer looks like an alt for Wesker. Some serious balance in this game is needed to get amazing matches like some of these

If they stick to what work...well that is a mark of a good player. getting consistent result, the M.O.D.O.K. player kept dropping his combo :/.

Also combofiend is the one player that dug Spencer out of the unknown tier in vanilla xD.

Still it's true that watching low tier hero is fun ^^, you should check out dieminion matches, he rock a solid Morrigan/Vjoe/Strange team and is getting consistent result against the likes of Noel Brown,Marlinpie/RayR

@leroidespinguins I agree you with you, it's only that I have this theory that there are people in that room with more hard earned skills.The MODOK guy at the ending was in good rythm and gave excellent fights vs Mike Ross, without dropping his combos, because you need to enter in rythm with this game, and waiting for those 20-30 sec combos to end doesn't help. Wesker and Spencer reward you for with tons of damage in the most simple combos...

@leroidespinguins I really enjoyed watching the dieminion team in one spooky stream, he destroyed everyone till he faced mastacj I think.Same story, both players found opennings for combos but the winner was the the one who inflicted more damage with the BnBs. Maybe it's an idiotic idea, theorically, but giving more health to chars who have low damage outputs could help the game. Look at the stryder in this videos vs Dark Wesker, it's ridiculously unfair

Well Stryder with x-factor is as potent as wesker and also can run throught 3 dudes. (especially with ourouboros).

Stryder got low damage output but monstruous reset potential...that's why he is low health.

@leroidespinguins However I can't stop thinking the game is unfair. Maybe I'm wrong and players haven't reached the full potential of the cars by now, which is hard to believe but pretty possible. I really enjoy watching matches like the ones with Mike Ross and that MODOK/Strange guy, and I hated the fact that half of the players needed to choose Hawkeye/Spencer/Other while facing Combofiend like cheap copycats. Americans then complain about Asians kicking their asses in majors

Marvel, like most game with a HUGE character selection got some character that are more effecient than over. Iron Man is still a tin piece of crap since you can choose magneto or Nova for better consistant results.

It's true you got SIMPLER character (simpler does not equal better).

Dont forget also that team need synergy and finding good synergy need to be rewarded so it's natural that pure "i like those character team" dont always work

@leroidespinguins If Asians play more the game, we would see the same results like with SFIV, and that's because players develope their own strategies while stayin loyal to the chars. Compare that with America, where everyone is tryin to replicate what the best players do. As a conclusion, I would only ask Capcom to put more efforts in balancing the game, there are lot of people like me tryin to use Rocket Raccon and finding ourselves doing uber long combos for no damage or reward :(

Japanese stick to tier wayyyy more than america. Look at sfIV whenever there was a change in the tier list, top player flocked to the high tier. Japanese player in general stick way more to what's working. They might have a general higher execution (willingness to put more time in training mode to get harder combo perfectly). But in no way more character diversity than the US (Tokido might be the perfect example.). In tourney mindset there is nothing cheap only efficient stuf.

As for RR, i think he has some 800k combo (using 1 meter). I play Nova/Task/Deadpool out of fandom and character feel so i get the kick "playing who i like" (i tried RR because i like the Guardians of galaxy but couldnt get a grip on the raccoon TT). But the reward wont exede personal satisfaction or being innovative in a general sense. But yeah no exterior reward.

@leroidespinguins Mmm may way of thinking is that Asians are more willing to develop their own strategies than tryin to replicate ones which seem to work. SFIV I think is now a very balanced game, so tiers are not that important, just good/bad matchups. Marvel has to evolve the same way, unless developers stop updating and balancing properly. So that was my suggestion, less damage output for some characters, more health for others, that simple.

@leroidespinguins My team when I want to win is Spencer/Dormammu/Hawkeye, when I want to have fun I just choose random, but low tiers that I'm enjoying could be Morrigan, RR, Strange, Hulk, Ryu, Nemesis... and I know its shitty to tell they're low tiers, but it comes really hard to win vs chars like wesker, you eat an S and your'e fucked. I also hate some specials, like Vergil's, theres no way to dodge or hide from that shit all over the screen
