Excellent job casting this project!! Josh was, and is still, a friend i met in Native circles- once told me to put on blinders and just go for the dream, the passion of my life....film. To be continued...
First heard this in 92, had it in my head for years. Now I know who and what. Yes the 90's rocked, now let's hope someone will save us from Justin bieber.
Not to defend Justin Bieber, but his like has existed in every era of Rock 'N' Roll, probably on back to Ragtime. There are people whose musical tastes -- often young teens, but not only them -- are exceptionally pedestrian and banal. In the 60s there was Bobby Sherman. In the 70s, there was Terry Jacks. In the 80s, there was Starshi* (that's a "t" or a "p", I forget), in the 90s there was Boys-II-Men. Now we get Biebered. As long as there are 12yo girls, there will be bad songs
My nephew almost died. if it weren't for a vigilant girl and rich in-laws he has twins now. We have more information than before. I have two boys. I tell them to check, to pay attention to changes. Yes, awkward. I am so grateful to have information to tell them. the main health threat of 18-24 year olds. If my nephew had waited two more weeks...
Thank you for helping, even one more son, know the risk.
Yours was a happy, grateful, optimistic Guy. I won't settle for anybody less.

man i used to crank this song when i went surfing and then afterwards play type o negative when leaving the beach. still do it to this day. freakin good stuff.
Hey holybrotherhood - Thanks so much for the comment. Really. In actuality, your comment and everyone else's has helped me look back more than ever to get back into video. You rock! And thanks to all that have enjoyed this video that I worked so hard on - it still came easy to me in some way - but I still busted my butt for four months on 80s machines to edit this thing back in the 90s. Thanks again. Really.
Great video, man. This is one of my all time favorite videos. I've been having these strange days again recently so pulled up your video and watch it a few times.
No question yours waaaay better. But, you should cut them a little slack because the year it was made. Which I could have sworn was before 92, but I had A LOT more than 3 strange days back then! Was one of my favorites back then too. Time Flies huh? Good job!
@karriekat1 Just an FYI: I made this all with 40 + rolls of Super 8 film then transferred to VHS with no timcode to edit with on 1982 machines. I did this the year in '92. Notice the crappy credits. Thanks much for your post.
@newyorktosf I started replying back that I have NO idea what any of that editing stuff means. But, I read my 1st message to you about giving them some slack, (1992). So, I will now add an extra "a" in waaaaay better! lol
I was watching this thinking "I don't remember it being this way..." cause you dd such a good job!! Love love love this song. It's one of those that grabs me by my collarbones when it starts, if you know what I mean ;) man I miss that good music.
Seen them in Chicago , Cold Night , Ther was two shows tht night , Fonud out the Show started at Midnite , we got in to town at Noon , anyway some how I seen the Greatest Concert in my LIFE , Left town at Four in the Morning , home safe . Insane nite , One for the Books , I love this band . GOOD Times that is what i think when i hear this band , They made it to , Movies , there in Point Break and in KingPin . See if ya can find it . School Of Fish..................
I actualy had Three Strange days with SOF as their driver in Dallas, and a trip to the Radio studios to do an inpromptu "Eat My Shorts" This song freakin ROCKS!
newyorktosf! nearly 20years later and the video is still relevant, what great shooting and editing skills! totally surreal to see it, my self dancing in it with Julie all on youtube! i've tried to find you over the years, would love to reconnect. you can find me through my web site, which is just my name. com. don't want spammers! hope your great!- kh
I've posted this before...my father and his woman danced at my wedding to this song...it was amazing! He is an older mexican man, and with a senora..they danced a masterpiece...never understanding one word of the lyrics...when no one else would even consider it. This was an intermission song for all the others...but not my dad...he and this wonderful woman danced for me they held each other close...because it was my song..Thank you dad..wherever you are today.
@carbonpictures I can't see a damn thing similiar or remotely close to Cheap Trick here. Sorry dude, they were extremely talented in a rare, unique way that just was amazing. I would highly recommend to you Carbonpictures that you have your eyes and possibly your hearing tested, because something isn't reaching the top of your elevator.
Hey FILLB, thanks a lot for your praise. It is much appreciated. Glad you like it. Noteworthy is each guy in the video never even met/saw them during the video. Separate locations. The Guitarist & Bass were buds in college but never together during the shooting and had little idea what the other was doing. All shot on Super 8 film stock. Look at it, you'll see, none was in the same place and no group shot. Ha! The dancers were there though for that shot with Rich Soucie, the guitarist.
If I never saw the band I would of thought you were actually them. Just like you I recently discovered they had videos but it's hard to find any live stuff. Grew up in the 90's and this really resembles alot of the "Alternative" videos that came out then, as well as some blue jean commercials. Really cool, good job. I really miss the 90's. R.I.P. Josh!
dude i loved this. so 90's. i dig the 90's style of music videos, and wish it would come back. well done maestro. i especially like the park where the singer is coming out of the water (backwards video). awesome song too, i love josh clayton-felt
Dan, film project I did with some friends. Liked the song then and was in film school. All shot on various Super 8 film stocks available at the time. Transfered to video (where I did some 'old school' rudimentary video effects with dying batteries) & edited this in 4 months on early 1980s technology VHS video editing equipment - No time code - FYI, without time code, edits are basically shots in dark when comes to syncing things. a reason why took 4 months. Thanks 4 comment. Show friends :)
I saw them at deep ellem live in Dallas whooop

WoW! I heard this song on the radio today. I had to look it up. I remembered it but couldn't quite put my finger on it.
I ain't Timberland but I have a clue.
It could be re-released today. Remix it if you need to. Do it, it is a good song. Trust me, I know. Feel free to throw me a bone if it makes it big.
