Do you know how many people were watching this live on the telly? Half a billion and that's nothing, because the human race will spread out among the stars. You just watch them fly. Billions and billions of them for billions and billions of years and every single one of them, at some point in their lives, will look back at this man taking that very first step and they will never ever forget it.
I need say:thanks Germany, to put a bomb accidentally in Earth's orbit, thanks CCCP to put Yuri Gagarin in Earth's orbit, thanks USA to put Neil Armstrong and Edwin Buzz Aldrin in Moon, and i wil give my humbly thanks for the nation to put a man steps up Mars
"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind??????"
This is NO giant leap for mankind, because this did nothing to improve life on earth. America is so set on technological advancement and this pointless space race, and yet we still haven't found the ways to solve the real problems on this earth: poverty, racism, crime, war. "When the words of lying men sound lush like the sound of a violin," don't be fooled. We didn't take a giant leap, we're walking backwards. -TheTruth-
@smoochym No technology can't solve the problems of mankind. Poverty and violence have always been problems for mankind, and as much as we've advanced technologically, I still see the same problems that have existed throughout history. The People have to change to improve life on earth. We're constantly changing the world around us, yet we've hardly changed ourselves. Technology tries to hide the problems of man, but all these problems are created by man's reluctance to mature in the first place
@smoochym The thing about disease is that as soon as you get one to go away, a new one shows up, and your vulnerable again. We can use technology to hide known disease from america, but it wont prevent a new one from spreading over some poor countries borders, leaving the problem unsolved.
I've found that everything in our world is unbalanced. When it feels like we advance in one country, we merely tip the scale of fortune, and ones gain is anothers loss. Balance can only be attained by Love.
Neil actually says "That's one small step for 'a' man", the resson that we don't hear the 'a' is because of the bad reception.
