And sure, you can install from original CD, if you want. Only thing that you must create is bootable CD with your own extensions and DSDT table =)

Is the only reason my G4 Mac is slow is because I have just 1 gigabyte of RAM? People recommended I put as much as 4 to have it run efficiently. I thought it was supposed to run pretty quick with only 1? Also 1GHz.

Yes, it will. Intel-compatible just means it needs the x86 instruction set, which all AMD processors have. Snow Leopard and Leopard will also require SSE3 instructions, i think, so nothing older than an Athlon 64.

I got a college degree in computer science. I really wanted to get a Mac so I looked at Mac mini and tried to buy all the hardware that comes in it + Snow Leopard upgrade ($30) to build a Hackintosh. The bill came out to about $40 less than the Mac mini itself. Factor in the work to put all of these parts together and you end up with the cost of a Mac mini. I ended up ordering one from the Apple store.

Uhh Mac OS X cannot run blueray. Its an absolute impossibility because Apple refused to let sony put their shit in their kernel. Now it can convert the blueray to different file type.. but that is not blueray itself. And Windows looks great compared to it. OS X lost all 3 times in the hacking competition. 07/08 and 09. Apple just doesn't care about security. That iPhone SMS exploit came out and apple new about it WEEKS before it came out but didn't fix it. They are a very lazy company.
