  • the key Pete, the key!!!!

  • hey bro u good at making boxes i can see... wen i get all my shit together thinking you can give me dimensions for the box ? like all the dimensions

  • So, what does this baby cost? Because I like it.

  • Why does it say uploaded 42 years ago?

  • Have you tried the iBasso Pb2? I use it with the westone um3x with black dragon balanced cable in my portable rig, out from iPod lod. For the desktop I add the db2 dac in digital and out balanced into the amp. Then out to beyer dt 880-600 ohm cans. It sounds great. I'll never use headphones without a goo amp.

  • So when are they shipping out??

  • Can you use a class t amp for headphones only?

  • @platinumzs1k I don't see why not. It's all in how well it is designed for that purpose.

  • You need a RSA amp! I had the Hornet. RSA are the biz!

  • @carspeakerreviews Hehe, Google 'JDS vs RSA'

  • @jdslabs And what exactly would I Google? The JDS C421 isn't even available to the public yet.

  • @HexiBase Our cMoyBB has been compared to RSA's products. Mr. Samuels doesn't care for me much...got some dirty looks at the 2011 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.

  • @jdslabs I don't think that how someone feels about you, personally, has much to do with the competence of the circuitry in your amplifiers. Until engineers begin listing their personalities on the spec sheet, this is very much beside the point.

  • @HexiBase Completely agree.

  • i have the same gerber razor pocket knife as you... great investment

  • @cdimic It's a Pittsburgh, actually. But yeah, I've had that thing for years.

  • Would this work off a headunit? To enhance the AUX output from my phone to headunit?? Just a thought

  • @SimpleOlCal29 Yes, but c421 is an audiophile grade amp. For boosting an AUX input, our entry-level cMoyBB will do just as well.

  • @SimpleOlCal29 You're thinking of a line driver. This is more of a speaker level device.

  • wow i had no idea there was an amp for headphones

  • @toucandan8989 By contrast, there are large audiophile communities out there, the members of which would never think to use a set of headphones without an amp. Kind of like powering your sub with the head unit. Quite unacceptable.

  • @HexiBase hmm ill have to buy one

  • @HexiBase I found this hidden community. It costs me dearly..

  • I used to power the SR225 with a Creek OBH-11 amplifier. But I had to sell the headphones unfortunately. The Creek is stored away now, it got old and needed maintenance I can't provide, maybe later.

I'm eager for an amplifier from headphone . com with digital in and a pair of Denon's high end headphones, but very broke now, so maybe later :P

Also, please buy a dead kitten for when recording sound outside :P

  • Any idea of the price range Pete?

  • @atomdragon4 Check out the JDS Labs web site. There's a link in the video description.

  • Nice review . I need a headphone amp .

  • @trainwreck60 If you suspect that you need one, you more than likely do. It's just another one of those neglected / seldom talked about things that makes a huge difference in your sound. I flat-out will not use a set of headphones if I don't have a proper amp handy.
