  • $200!! :o

I can sell my current laptop for $200 and put that $200 into a new one with an HDMI port!! (one yesterday going for $329 new) I'd save $70 and have a new laptop and one less device to mess with.

  • on my pc tower i havent got audio L R just 1 plug in saying audio but on the back of my pc tower i have got the vga port if i tried it how would i get my sound is their any other way to get audio

  • Please tell me this thing doesn't use HDCP on the output, I would hate for my VGA to get screwed.

  • theres a lot cheaper ones you can buy

  • i have to run a length of cable aprox. 16ft, should i run a 16ft hdmi or a 16ft vga. what would be better. i realize with a long vga i will have to run an equal length sound cable

  • I would rather get a quad core processor i7 HP laptop 6 to 8 GB of memory ram.once I buy that .1080p Vizeo tv would be the next best thing.this little device is OK but then my closet gets full of things I might not use in the future.if u buy that little device then later buy HD tv or top of the line computer u will not ever use it again. one bad thing is u got to keep powering it on witch could also be pain.save your money up and buy Hp Pavilion dv73180us will be very happy got Nividia cuda

  • i need to be able to connect a laptop which has hdmi and usb and i think a 15 pin thing to our dvd burner attached to our tv(its not a pc peripheral), it doesnt have an hdmi in, only out, and it has the standard rca plugs, can someone tell me how i can connect those things?

  • this guy is a nerd

  • Well priced.. Are you a f'n loon? How on Earth can you even consider that an awesome price you idiot! Who would spend the money on that when you can add an extra $200 and buy a brand new computer with hdmi built in haha.. $269.99.. what a joke

  • I use this to play my PS3 on my High Quality screen =D

  • this item ranges from $174.99 , its too much for me to afford. I willing to spend 50.00 or less for some thing with the same Quality. Any ideas ?

  • @camboy1132

check amazon.com, they have some between 40-70

  • i got a cheep pc to tv converter box for $60 and i hooked it up to my 73 inch and it looked blurry ass fuck and i cant read any fonts on my desktop icons, just wanted to know if this one will make it look sharper?

  • @WEEDTHEHABIT why u buy a fancy tv and buy a cheap ass converter...?

  • TigerDirectBlog

You need Make commercial :DVI to VGa converter" xD

  • can it be used to play ps3 on a vga monitor with 1080p

  • i think u also can convert vga to dvi and dvi to hdmi i wanna try see if it works if does it's way cheapter than this!

  • ive treid that doesnt work

  • my tv only goes to 1080i will it still work?

  • Hahaha he dint mention its 200 bucks

  • Lol tell me about it xD

  • it's actuallly about 130 at frys

  • I have a video card with a HDMI input, will it still work to upscale?

  • yeah it should

  • Do It Have HDMI To VGA Cables I Want to hook up my ps3 to monittor

  • i have a hdmi to vga cable that i can sell to u for $15 bucks i can make a video showing you how it works an i can mail it to you if you wanna buy it

  • if i get hdmi to vga converter would the sound in my monitor screen work?

and if i get this would my ps3 hdmi to the screen work?

  • what the hells wrong with the VGA to HDMI cable. its $5.22 soo cheap

same thing. that's just a rip off!!!

  • VGA is an analog signal. HDMI is a digital signal. A cable will not work.

    Do your research.

  • but you can get vga to dvi, then get dvi to hdmi.

  • no it wont work found it out the hard way lol

  • lol, im guessin u need a graphics card that would support it.

  • @alya415

    Thus the term CONVERSION

  • @alya415 can get a hdmi graphics card for £20 or $50 istead of that huge peice of junk

  • As long as your video card supports digital output, your VGA port will be digital and not analog. Most video cards anymore aren't analog....that was quite a few years ago. With a digital VGA output on a laptop, you just need the VGA to HDMI cable and do not need this box. I did my research just now.

  • tazrabbit123 It might work but it will not be digital. It's like going Analog to HD it just won't work right well that's what I found out today at Fry's. I had to buy a new video card that has the DVI output and buy a DVI to HDMI adaptor cable, which has the same quality. The card will support HDCP (Blueray/HD DVDs) watch Connecting a PC to Your HDTV thats exactly what Im talking about. By the way I bought the 42 JVC w/ I-Pod dock LCD from Tiger Direct. Check out the video here as well.

  • Can someone explain me what's the diference between a scaler and converter??

So what is better a Vga to Hdmi scaler or VGA to HDMI converter??

  • scaler changes the resolution/quality and a converter just makes it able to transfer data

  • certainly a scaler. When converter is used you have to be sure that PC resolution is perfectly matching TV's native resolution. In %60 cases it is not possible as most of the new TV's only accept 1080p (1920x1080) 1080i (1920x540) 720p (1280x720) PC's don`t normally have resolutions above. Scaler on another hand can take any resolution you want and get what you want on the output 1080p, 1080i, 720p or any other. Converter can only be used by very advanced users and scaler is plug and play

  • i got mine very similar to this on ebay for just 60 bucks. works great.

  • could you please send me the link from ebay... i need something like this... thanks

  • i think the should knock off 200 bucks on this item

  • damn its 800 bux shit iant worth it

  • is it possible to get the opposite to this?

  • so whats the price of this amazing little black box

  • my vagina is SO sore right now!! lol my bf just got done f*cking me!

  • can i fuck u next? =)

  • This thing is freaking awesome i bought one myself and it works great now i play world of warcraft on my 50inch pioneer elite 1080p. *droooooool* :)

  • so i only need to connect the vga cable to my pc and the to thislittle toy and then plug my hdmi cable tothis and tomy tv and its done

    PLS ANWSER

  • Yep, you would just connect VGA cable from PC or laptop along with mini audio cable for sound and then connect hdmi cable directly to the TV.

  • thats a pretty sweet little toy :)

i use a old skool scart version of it to watch films on a big old crt :P

  • what? wheres the dvi input?

  • there is a dvi version of that box as well also made by Atlona people

  • that first 3.5 to RCA cable must be intended for the output side. I have never seen any RCA outputs on a soundcard.

  • yep, it is made for a loop-out. This box is not being packaged with mini to mini cable to connect sound card directly to the mini input on the converter

  • Does it support 1080i?

  • TOOO EXPENSIVE! i dont got $270 :(

  • honestly, your better off getting a good grahpics card.

  • ya i got a EVGA 9600 GT Superclocked edition. i can use S-video on my tv but that's about it. i cant use hdmi on it...so i cant even use this product...still too expensive though lol

  • ya you can always do a sli if you have it, and i believe there's a 9600gt with a hdmi check tiger direct becuase i am not sure

  • handy job

  • Nice

  • lol he said a laptop with 1900 by 1280 xD but neway pretty helpfull piece of equipment

  • yea...laptops have the res on a screen anywhere from 17" up to 21.5"

  • he said 1920 x 1200

  • yes, 1920x1200 is a max resolution

  • you could just get a ati card...
